Physical Description:
Rin is the kind of beauty that you would see from afar and think that she was some sort of regal Japanese empress. An empress with a fiery twist. Rin is a samurai with a scary but intimidating look to her. She can easily scare off men and get women jealous of her in a hot second. Her attire or overall look may not look like your average shinigami. Rin has her own style and while she may not look the part, she can most certainly play it.
Her hair is long and reaches to the middle of her shin. It flows and it's silky. Her hair is a dark ash black. Her fringe is a jagged horizontal cut that reaches to her mouth. Rin always wears a dark purple butterfly hair piece in the back. The tip of the butterfly's antennae is red. Not only that, but the ribbons that embellish the butterfly piece are a bright blood red. It's tied into 3 loops.
Rin's attire mainly consists of fiery, warm colors. Really, she tries to get away with as much as she can in terms of that boring, dull black and white haori. She almost always wears samurai armor over and under her clothing. Starting from her shoulders, she wears a charcoal grey and dark red shoulder guards. The guards are made of a special tungsten, carbon alloy. Not only does it cover her shoulders, but it runs across the upper portion of her chest covering her collar bone. The guards have a titanium trim painted dark red.
To stay 'traditional' , Rin chose to keep the colors of a shinigami in her outfit; black and white. She wears a black and white gradient, sleeveless, kimono styled dress. The kimono is mainly black and the fringes of the sleeves and the dress itself is white. Rin wears two, silky arm warmers that fan out. They also carry the same black and white gradient as her dress. The inside of her kimono is a vibrant, rosty pink similar to her obi. The patterns on the bottom edge of her sleeves are waves. They bear a striking resemblance to the painting, "The Great Wave of Kanagawa". This samurai always wears bandages over her arms. This is mainly to conceal her scars and tattoos.
Like everything else in the world, there is a centerpiece. That one thing that holds things together or completes something. In this case, the centerpiece is Rin's obi. No, taking it off won't make her naked. Think along the lines of Batman's utility belt. Rin carries some of her most important items in that obi and all of its magical compartments. Her obi is a bright, vibrant, rosy pink with golden swirls and a crimson red flower print on it. Over it, is a deep crimson red rope that holds it together. Rin keeps her fan in between the robe and rope itself. She also wears the same tungsten, carbon alloy armor underneath it. Just in case someone tries to stab or punch her stomach. "I suggest you do not do such a thing. You'll only break your knuckles.." You can see just a bit of the armor peeking out from the bottom rim of the obi. The obi also helps support Rin's sword on her body. The back of her obi is tied into several ribbons. Six to be exact. Two of them have a red and gold gradient and are short. The other four are the same rosy pink as the rest of her obi. Two of the ribbons are hidden in the back. The last two are tied into the biggest ribbon of them all. The edges are long and the tips are slightly worn. This ribbon has a gradient different from the rest. It's gradient is from rosy pink to white.
You can see various, dark crimson red ropes wrapped around the lower portion of Rin's body. Don't they look cool?! Well, not only do they look good, but they have a very special purpose. These ropes help support Rin's sword on her obi. This makes it much easier for her to carry around her weapon. Running with a heavy sword like that isn't as painstaking as it used to be! You can see the same rope wrapped around her katana. They are split into three on one side.
They say the eyes are the window to your soul. In this case, Rin has a pretty fiery soul. She has a very unnatural eye color. Her eyes are a flaming red-orange. They're bright and vibrant and full of life, just like a flame. She always wears a special red eyeshadow similar to geisha makeup. She strongly believes that it's made for samurai so she wears it (despite the gossip). Her nails are painted a bright sparkly red. Rin wears the typical samurai sandal. The only difference between her sandals and the traditional pair is that hers are platform sandals. Underneath her socks, she wears ankle weights.
Rin only appears to be tall because of the added height from her sandals. However, without them, she's somewhat short. Her body is toned. No extra fat and no disgusting guido muscles. Her figure was slender and toned. Rin is also slightly ashamed about one important aspect of her body. That aspect, would be her boobs. Think along the lines of a C going on to a D. A bit too big for her taste...then again...other girls would die have theirs like hers. Her skin is similar to a porcelain doll. It's clear. Not a blemish or a zit to be found. She has an extremely faint yellow orange tan. She also has an oval shaped face.

Following the events of her latest mission, Darkest Timeline, Rin has opted to ditch her kimono entirely. After a hellish mission back to back, she dons a much different outfit. It is out with the old and in with the new and remaining stagnant and a thing of the past is the last thing the Empress wants.
Her new outfit includes a crimson crop top that covers her neck entirely with a jeweled neck piece with tassels hanging from it. A sash/belt is placed diagonally over her body and is now what she uses to carry her beloved nodachi. Rather than skirts and kimono, she wears pants now. It is made of the finest silk and is extremely flowy. The fabric will better accommodate her in battle.
Rin is dripping with accessories this time around. She is literally dripping with gold.Bells and whistles from head to toe. Her belt has a chrysanthemum with charms hanging from its head and it hangs loosely from her hips. Her ankles and wrists are adorned entirely in the same fashion and with every step she makes, she is guaranteed to make a sort of jingling sound to announce the presence of your majesty.
Her hair also carries these accessories with a loose beading and chains hanging from a ponytail which she chooses to don now rather than the former hairstyle. She now wears a loose braid in her pony tail which she keeps over her shoulder.↬ P E R S O N A L I T Y ♚´

♚↘。ー Cute, fluffy things - There is nothing more gag worthy than an adorable little kitten or stuffed animal. Rin hates it so much because she can't really hurt it and that's what pisses her off....Unless its a puppy.
♚↘。ー People with soft personalities - They need to grow a back bone. Soft people are weak people and weak people die first. Nothing more troublesome than some weakling getting themselves killed.
♚↘。ー Losing her fan - What if it's too hot? What if she needed to fan someone else?! What if she needed to hide her face?! So many what ifs..Rin loves her fan! Losing it would be terrible.
♚↘。ー Shinigami uniforms - Everyone's wearing it..she's not just a number in a sea of statistic souls! And she most certainly doesn't want to look like it either!
♚↘。ー Stalkers - Like every other girl out there, she hates creepers, stalkers and perverts in every form. Who likes to be followed by a guy who just a made himself happy? Not Rin! "They're so infuriating..."

♚↖。ー Sushi - Mmmm. Raw fish. Just like the empress, Rin could eat it everyday non stop if it were possible. From dragon eyes to avacado rolls, she loves it all! She loves it enough to do practically anything for a few rolls. "My personal favorite is spicy tuna."
♚↖。ー Teasing others - While, normally carrying a somewhat serious facade, Rin occasionally likes to tease whomever she is around. There is nothing funnier than watching the look of embarassment on another shinigami's face. Rin enjoys a good laugh and loves to mess around with the other shinigami whenever she gets the chance.
♚↖。ー Dogs - Rin loves and I mean absolutely LOVES DOGS. Whatever foul, firely mood she's in will instantly be doused with a loveable canine. They truly are loyal creature and are the only creature who loves you more than itself. Selfless to the end. If you give them your heart, they will give you yours.
♚↖。ー Samurai - Rin thinks they are honorable and loyal to others. They are the opposite of ninjas. Rin is a samurai herself so it's only natural she likes samurai.
♚↖。ー Kaen Youji - Loyal and honorable. The best third seat and friend she could ask for. He can be rather annoying at time but the Empress enjoys his company~
Flaws:
Sushi-mania - Due to the fact that Rin love's sushi with every fiber of her being, she can be persuaded to carry out certain tasks and duties with the offer of 20 Spicy Tuna rolls. This isn't always a good thing, especially if she's dealing with enemies.
Sarcasm - This could be the start of many arguments. It could be with any old stranger or with her comrades and this could possibly destroy any hopes of teamwork. Watch out.
Lazy/ Laid back attitude - Rin would much rather be a spectator and doesn't fight with all of her might in the beginning of a battle. She loves to laze around...like a real empress.
Alcoholic - She can get out of hand when it comes to drinks. Once she starts, you'd have to physically restrain her before she reaches the point of no return....Just in case you're wondering, she's the happy, flirty drunk.
Getting carried away - Rin can be a cruel, cruel woman. Sometimes she'll get carried away when fighting someone. It's how she releases her anger. If you are her enemy, expect to be the sacrificial lamb of the vicious wrath that is her anger.
Habits:
Starting or ending some of her statements with 'ne?' - "It's lovely, ne?", "Ne, Taichou! You should wear this bright pink bandana."
Playing with her fan- Rin loves her fan. You'll find her fanning herself often. While it may be improper for such habits, you'll never see Rin without it and you will never see her not playing with it.
Checking her reflection - She must look good wherever she goes! Oh absolutely! She doesn't want to take any chances and look like a train wreck. It just isn't right! Empresses are meant to be pretty and so a touch up on any reflective surface must suffice!
Fears:
Bunnies - Rin has an insane fear of bunnies. She will freeze, scream and cry at the very sight of it. Can you blame her!? Their eyes they're so..red and demonic looking! They're also adorable and fluffy and cute! It's no wonder as to why she's scared.
Lightning - This is a new one. Mostly has to do with her human life but Rin doesn't know that. You won't see Rin out during a storm. She'll scream.
Goals:
Conquer her fear of bunnies - One way or another, it's going to happen. She's determined enough to try! Right now, she can't even look at them. We'll see where her adventures take her.
Be a Captain - It’s only fitting that an Empress heads her own squad.

Overall Personality:
Rin, just honestly believes that she's an Empress. She carries herself with great poise and class. She can also be quite charming around those she's close with or those that give her a good first impression. Socializing is quite important after all~! Being a lady is very important to her. This includes manners and etiquette. No matter what, Rin will always use proper manners. You will not find her cursing. You also will not find her making vulgar remarks. It's just not an option for her.
She will not yell and she won't scream simply because yelling your voice is barbaric. She also doesn't speak very loudly. She also does not take her anger out on any one...unless it's her enemy. She doesn't make a scene or cause and uproar. Rin strongly believes in carrying herself in a sophisticated manner. She's surprisingly good at controlling her temper. There is only one reason as to why she is so good at controlling it and keeping it down. That one reason would be the fact that she will take it out on her enemies.
One can say there are two very important sides to Rin. The side when she's not fighting and the side when she is fighting. When Rin fights, you won't even recognize her anymore. It's almost as if someone pressed the kill switch. She instantly switches over to the vicious, nasty side. She is cruel and merciless at this point and will anything she can to make your life a living hell while she fights you. She deals with everyday stress and harbors a lot of anger. Thus, she takes it out on her enemies...or rather, victims.
The other side of her can be very charming and sweet. If she knows you, she will gladly greet you and start a conversation. She loves conversation outside of battle...especially with good looking men. But that's beside the point. She's a talker when she's in a relaxed atmosphere. Tense situations are a completely different story. She keeps her mouth shut unless she feels it's necessary to point something out. She doesn't judge people right off the bat. She will take the time to listen to both sides and give her opinion on it. She is blunt and she is brutally honest. Rin will tell you like it is and she thinks it's for your own good.
Friendly and flirtatious banter is something she occasionally likes to engage in... but of course, it entirely depends on first impression. Rin often likes to see herself around pretty people and well, if you're not pretty then you have less of a chance of being in her good graces. Of course, that isn't to say she wouldn't be friendly. She'd offer a make-over or two. It's one of her favorite things to do! Rin truly is a girly-girl. She can be a bit of a snob however, always putting herself on a pedestal. Such is the attitude of an Empress Rin Minamimoto has more chances of her temper being set off... She's basically a younger version of the empress.
In regards to someone she falls for romantically, Rin is not for the feint of heart. A strong girl with a strong personality means that special person should be able to endure all of that. She has a very, very, very hard time showing her feelings. It's easier to say that Rin falls under the "Tsundere" category; hiding her feelings by mildly violent actions and bold claims and lots of denial. Bu you know what they say, denial is the first step to acceptance~! As far as friends go, Rin is fiercely loyal. If asked, she will be there. To her superiors, she will obey an order without question just like the Empress. If her superior so wishes it, then by all means she will carry out that task... no matter how dark it is. There are ranks for a reason. Who was she to defy that?
She will always have a proper way of speaking. Please and Thank you are a must and sometimes you'll find her saying sorry. Sometimes. She doesn't like it because of her Empress complex. Did I mention that she thinks she royalty? She may not be true royalty but she holds the attitude of a girl who is ready more than most to rule a kingdom. Rin has a strong affinity for anything concerning royalty.↬ P O W E R S ♚´
Fighting Style:
Rin's fighting style is rather special....It's rather similar to the empress with a few notable differences. For one, Rin will do her best to be a team player. The team that fights together, stays together. Despite all of this, Rin can easily be seen as a lazy fighter. She's someone who's mostly know for taking the sidelines and hanging around the back in fights when around a team. Any insults for incompetent comrades can be saved for later. Rin will do her damndest to encourage and push her teammates forwards to victory and completion of the mission or objective at had. One's subjects cannot fight under a negative influence after all. Rin upholds the true nature of a benevolent Empress.
Rin loves drawn out battles. It also isn't a matter of how well she kills her opponent. Stringing it out and fighting raw is the absolute best thing ever. It's all a matter of how long their bodies will last when she's through with them. Rin has some serious pent up anger issues that she only releases in battle. When she wants you dead, she'll make sure you're diced up and bloody. Literally. Just like the empress, if she has to bring someone back alive with 'minor' injuries, she'd probably saw half of your leg off. See? Minor stuff. Nothing big. You're just missing a leg. No questions asked.
Rin has some knowledge in hand-to-hand combat with her spirit to guide her just a bit. She's picked up little things here and there from past experiences. The samurai part of Rin didn't carry over entirely per say. However, she's far from being an expert at hand-to-hand combat. So we have a little knowledge in street fighting. Though, Rin is much more viable to make odd slashes and wild moves rather than precise ones. Why? When Rin fights, she's angry and this translates through her fighting. There's no real meaning behind her slashes; She's just angry at the world around her. That isn't to say Rin is not capable of making calculated in precise moves. Oh no. Rin can be very cunning and clever she just likes to show just how much of a vicious menace she was when she was angry. It was always about making bloody displays so expect her to be very, very showy.
Rin is a master at ballet. That's right. Ballet. Why would this be necessary? For one, Rin incorporates it in her fighting. Most times, she's off balance when executing certain moves or techniques. In order to make that into a strength of hers, whenever she's off balance, you will always see her performing some sort of ballet technique. She will also use it as a means of escape. Incorporating this dancing style into her fighting can make it seem like Rin's a slippery opponent who's hard to catch. Rin is also familiar with break dancing but not a master of it. When she fights wildly you'll also see her using this style in her fighting. The goal of this is mobility and ease of use of the space around her.
Rin is highly trained and master of just a few weapons ..but decent in others thanks to her spirit's training. Rin can use a Nodachi, Scythe and a Rifle like an expert. The last two being in her release. Rin knows how to use her weapons in an unorthodox fashion; in ways that would blind side her opponent and force them into sticky situations. Her weapons are practically an extension of herself so she can twist and contort herself around anyway she chooses. For example, she can work herself around the pole-like portion of her scythe; spinning and twisting around even going as far as to stand on it.
Rin most definitely has her nodachi in her sealed state and, just like the empress, can use it to the same level. Her attacks can range from calculated, precise slashes to wild and careless ones. Rin much rather prefers raw combat as opposed to using reiatsu. It makes things fun, ne~? One must keep in mind that while Rin is stark raving pissed, it is not an uncontrollable rage. She doesn't go into a crazy, barbaric fit. When that fight switch is flipped, her killer's intent is on right along with her rage. As mentioned before, she's at her angriest when she's in a fight and any little thing is prone to set her off into a completely different level of rage. Hell, some might even call her reasons for getting angrier unreasonable. Ah, well, she is an Empress, ne~? Naturally, she could get away with such a thing~.

Meet Hiretsuna. A man with a lot to say and a lot to dish out to the rest of the world. He enjoys women and sake and, of course, teasing Rin... even though he thinks she's really an insufferable woman who is far too high maintenance. Rin tolerates him because he thinks she's an empress and she is perfectly ok with that. They have a fun friendship full of violence, stubbornness and sly remarks. Both in full swing from both sides. He bears a resemblance to many a man she'd encountered during her life as a human. Another sell sword? Nah. Much more. He'll help Rin show the world that too.

As an empress with a big personality, it is only natural she has a weapon to match. A great personality similar to a great empress means a great sword is most fitting~! A Nodachi is most appropriate and so that is what she shall get! As a samurai, this particular nodachi hits the nail on the head; it's perfect. It's ridiculously huge and it even surpasses Rin's own height. It had a daunting appearance to the weak and hapless. An average shinigami wouldn't stand a chance wielding a blade like hers... which just goes to show that it was tailed and fit for an Empress. It's only natural, ne~?
Firstly, let's talk numbers. The length of Rin's Nodachi is approximately 8.5 ft. The blade is 6 ft with the hilt being 2.5 ft. The weight would be 60 pounds just because of the sheer size of it. Which means, to the average sword wielder, it's heavier than expected. Due to her proficiency in using the nodachi and having been around it practically.... her whole life, Rin has ability to wield it with one hand rather than be limited to two. Anyone not used to this might be using both hands... But it's okay! ..They're not a Empress~!
The sheath is truly fit for someone like her. Beautiful and elegant but much different than her original zanpakuto, Chimeiyoki. Hiretsuna is far more edgy and rough. Still, it is tailored to the Empress's tastes. Stylish and beautiful but far more intimidating and vicious like the spirit himself. The zanpakuto is a happy medium reflecting both personalities.
,The sheath runs from a dark, jaded midnight blue up until the tip where the color shifts to a smokey gray. The color of the sheath is done in an ombre effect and is completely lacquered and sleek. There are black, glittery messy notches towards the mouth of the sheath as if someone took their own blade and attempted to damage it. Just above the edge of the sheath is a rope in the very same color; a bright blood orange-red color. It's wrapped around at least 5 inches of the sheath neatly in pretty bow with two tassels from the edges of the bow flowing freely. However, the edges of the fabric are frayed. They show no signs of deteriorating further.
The hilt is just as beautiful. The colors run predominantly red and navy blue/indigo with just just a hint of gold. The hilt is intricately wrapped with black rope with the indigo color showing right behind it. There also happens to be gold skull embroidery adorned on the grip as well. The very butt of the hilt is capped in midnight blue with a few obsidian colored chains, the sort that you see in shackles, attached to it like a keychain. There are golden skulls and red butterfly charms dangling from it. The entirety of the tassel is black as well with bows that are indigo. There is gold ribbon-like string attached to it.
The blade itself is something to marvel at. It is a clean blade seeing as Rin constantly takes care of it. Not a nasty bloodstain on sight. After all, this blade is Rin's pride. At the hilt running up 4 inches are engravings. These engravings have the same black, glittering notches on them that the sheath has. It also looks like someone damaged it heavily but the blade itself is actually in pristine condition. It is a much more edgier appearance than her former blade.
Zanpakutou Release Appearance:Shikai:
Okay! The length of Rin's scythe is 8 feet. It's that long mainly because it's got a huge pole with a sickle blade at the end. If someone were to straighten the crescent blade out, it would look incredibly long. The menacing blade is at least 5 feet long. This isn't including the blade that extends past the buttstock. The blade that extends past the buttstock is at least a foot long. It's a massive, massive weapon.
The weapon itself is predominantly red and black. There's blood red armor coverings on it at well. It may not seem like it, but the top of the scythe's blade is still there. It just looks like armor but it's still pretty dangerous. The armor-esque coverings ensure that Rin can use this death machine with no worries. She can wear and tear it with it still looking as good as new! The edge runs far past the back of the pole, past the buttstock making it a true crescent blade.
Now we can talk about the gun portion. The gun portion of Rin's scythe contain are a modified Barrett M82 rifles... scopes and all. So, if Rin wishes to stay back and cover an ally, the scopes help. With this, Rin has the ability to cover all ranges of combat. Long and short. The gun itself is attached to pole arm of Rin's scythe. The gun portion is mainly the same blood red color as the rest of the scythe.

Something ominous is happening with Rin's Shikai. Since she's arrived from her last mission, her release has been slightly corrupted. Both of Rin's hands and arms will turn black and her nails will elongate into claws. The darkness on her hands will run up to her forearm and disperse in a smokey like fashion, wisping and melding with her own pale skin. Her eyes will turn bright, red like that of a fabled demon in many horror stories and she will gain the fangs of one as well. It's a slightly more demonic appearance she takes in her Shikai. Her scythe does not remain unscathed. The entirety of her scythe will be coated in a very thin, semi transparent black mist and is constantly winding, constantly moving about, slowly.
Bankai:
Now, Bankai appearance! It's still the same weapon! But of course, there are differences. BIG differences. The scythe is still there. The gun is still there. The weapon itself grows. The pole grows to 12 feet and the blade grows to 9 feet. The entirety of the weapon is made of black, smokey, swirling energy that can only be held by Rin. The scythe isn't entirely inky and black. The gun portion is made of a glowing white smokey aura.
Also, there's a bladed tip on the end of the pole. The blade is 3 inches... It's kind of like a small knife. It's a safety measure if someone tries to attack Rin from behind so there's not much of a "Big Swing = Big Opening" weakness. When Rin slashes with the scythe, a trail of the inky black smoke follows it. When Rin fires a bullet from her rifle, she shoots white glowy bullets. The bullets remain the same size and have no special effects to them other than their coloring.
If one were to stare at Rin's scythe, they could easily see the black smokey aura circling about. It looks as though it's contained when it's really not. That dark aura just simply chooses to take the form of a monstrous scythe. It's basically an upgrade from her old scythe. The same could be said for the rifle attached to the scythe. White swirly cloudy aura energy that simply takes the form of a rifle. Rin is the only one who has the ability to grab a hold of the scythe.

Overall Ability:
The empress's heart and soul is dedicated to seeing justice by any means necessary. She's a twisted, vicious warden. She will hunt her prisoners down and make sure they know that she is in control. Rin's powers will focus on imprisoning her enemies and making them pay for it in anyway possible. Even if it means them paying with blood.

Rin's zanpakuto ability incorporates elements of a Grim Reaper Well, an angry grim reaper who wants to incarcerate her foes.... if that makes any sense at all. She takes advantage of something everyone has. Their Light and Dark Auras. Rin will punish you for having points in either aspect. She will manipulate them and use them to further herself in a fight. The reaper imagery is important because it has a lot to do with Rin and who she was. It was an important aspect of Rin's personality. Rin's released zanpakuto is practically two weapons combined into one. The gun portion of Rin's scythe, by default, starts out with 30 normal bullets with no special properties (based off of her own RS). Of course, if she needs a reload, she must pay 200 Reiatsu. Rin uses 12.7 x 99 mm hollow-point bullets in her rifles. Bullets move at 700 speed.
It's important to note that Rin can switch from using her blade to rifle at any point with the only restraints being the opponents aura. So, say for example Rin is slicing at an opponent and suddenly decides, mid swing, "Oh. I want to fire a bullet off too, ne~". Then, she's free to do so. There's no specific mode to change to. Either way, Rin will hunt you down and you best believe punishment is imminent.
Shikai Overall Ability:
The angry shinigami is out for blood. In Rin's shikai, you see much more of Rin's wrath and hints of the dark aura/light aura manipulation. This is a small taste of what Rin has in store. Everyone has either dark aura or light aura. The point of this ability is to punish everyone and to deliver it in the same fashion a grim reaper would. Rin will chase you down angrily until she can capture you and kill you.
Bankai Overall Ability:
Prisoners deserve only the most cruel and unusual punishment. Punishment of the macabre variety. It's only right, ne~? In Bankai, Rin will retain her shikai techniques. She will also get 10 explosion bullets and has to pay 50 reiatsu for a reload. It does not have to be activated. It’s there by default unless Rin needs to reload bullets or make them explode prematurely. The only buff that her weapon gains is that there will be flat rate RS increase depending on the Aura. If Rin’s opponent has 40 Dark Aura / 60 Light Aura, 40 RS will be added to power behind Rin’s Scythe and 60 RS will be added to the power behind her gun.
Guilty By Association :
G.B.A is passive to Rin’s Bankai. When there is more than one person on the opposing side, their light and dark aura’s will be pooled together and as assigned to each person. For example, if person A has 50 Light Aura | 50 Dark Aura and person B has 30 Light Aura | 70 Dark Aura, their new Dark/ Light Auras will be 80 Light Aura | 120 Dark Aura. The purpose of this technique is to help Rin handle multiple enemies better as well as to amplify her own techniques. All prisoners and vermin deserve to be corralled like sheep and this will help Rin adapt to a situation where she is outnumbered.

Zanpakuto Techniques:
Shikai Techniques
♚ Condemnation:
Condemnation primarily focuses on the scythe portion of Rin’s zanpakuto. Light and Dark coexist with one another and is reflected on her weapon. Her scythe reflects the Dark and feeds off her opponents dark aura. Any techniques that have to do with Rin's scythe have dark energy following right after it. Her scythe was made to cut things down in halves and quarters and sixths and so forth... That being said, Rin's scythe will be coated in a dark, inky black reiatsu which symbolizes that it's feeding off the dark aura. She has the ability to make powerful slashes. When dealing with someone who has a great amount of dark aura, Rin's slash will be far more devastating in comparison to someone who is on the lighter end of the spectrum. For every 1 in dark aura makes an 2 millimeters of slash damage (depth. Added millimeters go into the depth of the slash) whereas the they'll be smaller for someone with light aura. So, for example, a 2 in Dark Aura = 4mm added... A 40 in Dark Aura = 80mm added and so on! In addition to this, the black energy has two special properties. 1. As long as Rin’s opponent is within 3 feet of her weapon, it will sap a miniscule amount of stamina and 30 reiatsu per post until that person moves away. A direct contact with the blade will sap 50 reiatsu. 2. The black energy has a slight acidic burning effect. Being within 3ft of Rin’s weapon will cause her opponent to suffer minor burns from where the energy emanates (the edge/ arch of her scythe blade)
Drawback:
To people with no dark aura... well, you're lucky. No added millimeters for them! Induces some fatigue. Costs 100 reiatsu to activate and costs 50 after the initial activation post to keep it active.
♚ Atonement:
This has more to do with the gun portion of Rin's zanpakuto. Yes that's right. There's two weapons in one zanpakuto. Unlike the scythe portion, the gun portion feeds off of her opponents light aura. Any techniques that have to do with Rin's gun have light aura following right after it. Her gun can shoot out something like an arrancar's bala; they're reiatsu bullets. Rin will pay 50 reiatsu for 5 of these bullets. They travel at 700 stat speed and if hit, (depending on the aura) they range anywhere from a tiny explosion (purely dark aura) to a mini explosion the size of a human sized ball (purely light aura). In addition, Rin will also have the ability to have her bullets explode prematurely so they have the ability to detonate wherever the Empress wishes.

Drawback:
To acquire these bullets, Rin must pay 50 reiatsu. However, the gun portion only has the ability to store 5 reiatsu explosion bullets. If Rin wishes for a reload, then the cost for it is 100 Reiatsu. If Rin wishes to have a premature detonation, she must expend 25 Reiatsu.
Bankai Techniques
♚ No One Escapes Death:
Rin’s emanates an aura that expands to a half a mile radius. Opponents within this aura will automatically be trapped in a nightmarish state. Aesthetically, the sky will turn hazy and black and the world will appear to be desaturated. They will feel overwhelmingly nervous/anxious in this state as Rin simply grows angrier. Almost as if they were having the beginnings of an anxiety attack. No prey escapes her. No one. The thought of it happening makes her angrier and all she wants is to capture and kill them. The properties of the nightmare state are that they move with her and her opponents will be penalized for taking any actions; Dark & Light Aura.
For every point in Light Aura, Rin’s opponent will be taxed more than usual when using reiatsu techniques. For example, a 10 in LA will mean all your techniques will cost 10% more, 30 in LA means your techniques cost 30% Reiatsu. The “good” part of you is highly generous and so you will be very giving!
Where Dark Aura is concerned, your own darkness or selfishness will be your undoing. Depending on your Dark Aura, any previous wounds inflicted would be opened wider. If you have no current wounds, then your last injury will be opened once more. For every ONE point in your Dark Aura, the wound will open up by 2 milimeters. For example, If you have a cut on your arm and have 10 points in DA, then your wound will open up by 20mm. This effect will only occur when Rin opponent uses a reiatsu technique.
Drawback: This costs 200 Reiatsu to activate. If Rin were to activate it again, it would cost 150 Reiatsu and increase in increments of 50 each time. This technique will cause Rin to not remain extremly angry but also be fatigued when over. The best way for anyone to avoid the effects of this technique is simply to run from Rin herself and exit the aura. People with skill points in Strength of Will, Calm Mind and Lack of Fear can resist the unnerving effects. This technique lasts for two posts or until Rin ends it herself. This technique can be resisted by those with a 50% higher offensive stat.
♚Chi no hōseki (Blood Bail):
Whenever an opponent is within a certain distance of Rin (15 feet), that person will be trapped with in a prison cage with Rin herself. The bars are black and extremely close to one another and will form around them at a speed of 5000. To the point where you can barely see outside. In this cage, both occupants Light Aura/Dark Aura are combined and applied strictly to the opponent (If Rin has 70 LA/30 DA and the opponent has 50/50, their new values are 120 LA/80DA). The cage will immediately be filled with a gas that will fatigue the opponent. In this cage Rin will constantly have the upper hand. However…
The opponent can leave any time they wish… at a cost! They must post bail in order to leave this jailhouse. Rin will ask them: “How do you plead?” each post. They must respond with “Guilty”, cut or injure themselves to the point where their blood can spill on the floor in ONE of three places on their body. These injuries can be extremely minor. As long as there are a few drops of the opponent's blood on the floor, however they do it, the requirement for getting out of jail is fulfilled. This is how they may go about it:
Guidelines for paying bail
Injury on Right Arm: Transfer Rin X amount of Reiatsu
Injury on Left Arm: Lose X amount Reiatsu (Rin does not gain it)
Injury on Right Leg: Heal one of Rin’s wounds
If the opponent uses a stepping technique or a variation of this technique, the amount of injuries the opponent will have to make will double. Two shunpos = Two separate. The Reiatsu cost for getting out is the difference between Rin’s lowest offensive stat and the opponent’s highest offensive stat. Once Rin receives payment, a door on the opposite side of the opponent will open allowing them to escape. Attempts to break or damage the cage without the appropriate stats will cause more of the fatiguing gas to flow and cause the prisoner to get tired faster. Kind of like quicksand. The moment the opponent is out of the cage, the technique will automatically end.
The amount of cuts you have to make (if you sonido/shunpo'd previously) does not carry over. For example: If, the first time around, you used a stepping technique and had to injure yourself twice, the next time the same person is in this technique, they only need to injure themselves once to get out unless they use a stepping technique again.
Drawback: This technique costs 200 Reiatsu to activate. In order to use this technique again, Rin must wait three posts. If the person inside the cage has double the Offensive state, they have the ability to break out by force. In a situation where there is more than one person, the person outside of the cage can break it with a 50% higher offensive stat
♚ Shūshin-kei (Life Sentence) :
The black energy surrounding Rin will scatter away from her immediately and seek out her opponent. This technique will combine Rin and her opponent’s Light & Dark Aura. Rin will open a small portal near by her opponents in any direction she chooses. The portal can be behind, above, under, left, right… you get it! Rin can create these portals 25 feet away from herself. Shackles made from pitch black energy will erupt from the portals and instantaneously entrap three limbs of her opponents and their mid section (4 Shackles.) and burn them. From the portals, the shackles travel at 1000 speed.
Every point in their combined Light Aura will determine how close the portal will appear next to the opponent. The closer the portal is to the opponent, the worse their reaction will be to being captured.
Combined Light Aura
0 - 70 = 1ft away
71 - 100 = 3 ft away
101 - 150 = 5 ft away
151 - 200 - 7 ft away
Every point in their combined Dark Aura will determine not just the strength of the shackles but how strong the acidity it is. The shackles have a base strength of 800. For every point in the combined Dark Aura determines how strong the acidity of the shackles and adds on to its weight and strength. 1 point = 1 pound (70 in Combined Dark Aura makes the shackles weigh an extra 70 pounds and increases the base strength to 870 ). The higher it is the more unbearable it is to be in the shackles.
Combined Dark Aura (Acidity)
0 - 50 = tolerable
51 - 100 = slightly tolerable
101 - 150 = very painful
151 - 200 = extremely unbearable
The only one limb will be free which would be their left arm. If the opponent wishes, they may be freed at a price. If they injure themselves on each limb or body part shackled. They will only be freed once they have cut themselves on the limb or body part with a shackle. For example, if you only hurt yourself on your legs, you legs will be freed to an extent but your midsection and other arm will still be entrapped. Do what ever it takes to injure yourself and spill a drop of blood or two. Bite, scratch, cut, claw... Get out by the skin in your teeth if it means that much you...
Drawback: This technique costs 200 Reiatsu. If opponents can see this attack coming it is avoidable. Burning acidic affect can also be tolerated by those with skill points in pain tolerance. Rin cannot use this technique twice in succession. She must wait at least three post to use it again. Shackles can be broken out of if the opponent has double the offensive stat.
♚ Saigo no bun: Shikei (Final Sentence: Death Penalty):
This is Rin's greatest technique. Rin will be drained 10% of her remaining Reiatsu every post before the end of the six posts of her final technique. She slams the butt of her scythe down and lines of black smokey energy sprawl out and create a cage around Rin and the surrounding area. The speed the cage is formed at 8000 speed and it's starting width and height is a 40 x 40 ft cube and will then shrink down to a standard medium sized bird cage along with its inhabitants who will be reduced to the size of a parakeet (about 8 inches). To the prisoners, it will appear to be a 5 x 5 ft cube.
Those inside the forming cage are met with an intense aura, shackling those inside and preventing escape from anyone with a lower offensive stat than Rin herself. This simply prevents her targets from leaving the cage while it forms. The bars run horizontally and vertically leaving barely enough room to poke a finger though. In reality, Rin is creating a tiny bird cage to trap her victims (both allies & enemies). All the vicious warden has to do is simply hold up her cage and oversee the activities happening within it until her victims finally die in the worst way possible. From the beginning of the technique, black gas will seep from the bars. It will never seep out of the energy cage. When activated, the entire cage will be start to be filled with the gas (Activation being 1/6). The special thing about being in this cage? It shrinks people. Yes you heard me, Everyone's height gets reduced so they're less that a foot tall. Rin wants to make her victims feel like tiny hapless, trapped birds in a cage. Birds and prisoners desperately covet freedom and alas... they cannot have it and are forced to withstand a painful and cruel end.
Then, there’s the gas. The properties of the gas are as follows: It kills over time. The gas is similar to an EXTREMELY deadly version of tear gas. Effects include: irritating mucous membranes in the eyes, nose, mouth and lungs, and causes crying, sneezing, coughing, difficulty breathing, pain in the eyes, temporary blindness. The gas is deadly and when inhaled, it also destroys your insides; destroying your organs and rupturing them. It would feel like there are glass splinters multiplying in the enemies insides. It's a painful, painful death. If it, for some reason, the gas is not inhaled, then the opponent's skin will become more and more irritated eventually driving the person insane. The effect of the poison on the skin is the same as someone bathing in Poison Ivy and leaving it untreated. The irritation gets worse over time. This is Rin's Cruel & Unusual punishment technique so to speak.
Gas Effects:
1/6 - Slight coughing may happen. Victims are fine in this stage. Nothing terrible
2/6 - slight pain, more coughing fits, watering eyes, sneezing and slight irritation
3/6 - sharp pain, difficulty breathing, highly irritated eyes, nose & mouth. blurry vision & previous symptoms
4/6 - great deal of pain, coughing up blood, irritated skin, itchiness, nose bleeding & previous symptoms
5/6 - intense pain, your insides start feeling like it's being pulled apart & previous symptoms
6/6 - the most pain you could ever imagine, death occurs on this post.
Should Rin’s allies find themselves trapped in this technique, then their collective dominant aura value will be added to their highest Offensive State. (Rin’s LA/DA = 70/30, Ally A = 60/40, Ally B = 50/50.70 + 60 + 50 = 180. The Dominant Aura is Light and 180 points will be added to a single stat.) This is to… you know, to encourage those idiots to kill the enemy before they all die together.
Aside from killing her, Rin may end this bankai technique whenever she wishes. She simply has to open the birdcage and shake her victims out.
Drawbacks: Rin's reiatsu will slowly be drained until she has none left. The minimum amount of Reiatsu that must be consumed in order to use this technique is 800. Affects allies as well if they're trapped inside. This technique lasts 6 posts. This technique is extremely taxing on Rin. Once the technique is done, she will be extremely fatigued and be immobile, 100%, for three days because of all the energy used. Escaping from the cage could also restore their height. Those inside the cage have to have double the offensive stat to breakout by force. But those outside can break out the target with only a 50% higher offensive stat. People with points in Poison Resistance should be able to delay and stave off the effects of the gas. For each point one has in Poison Resitance, it delays the effects of the poison by 1 post.

Technique Description and Effects:
Go, also called "Addition", is the fifth of the Numbers. This technique allows the Zanpakuto Spirit to interact with the physical world as an attack of sorts. This technique creates a ghostly aura around the Zanpakuto, much like Ichi. Unlike Ichi, this aura is more solid, more 'real' so to speak. This technique lasts for one strike, one swing of the Zanpakuto, or simply one motion of the blade. Effectively, this technique allows the user and Zanpakuto Spirit to strike an additional time. The user of this technique can choose whether it be as soon as they attack, utilizing two attacks at once, a second before, or a second behind their original attack.
The real power, and versatility, of this technique comes from the fact that whatever effect is on the Zanpakuto, or user, at the time is copied on to the strike. (I.E, the Zanpakuto is coated with an ice-effect, the Zanpakuto the Spirit uses will also be coated with ice.). As this is a blade made of Reiatsu, it naturally bypasses the Cutback Effect.
Synergizes well with Ichi and Ni.

Technique Drawbacks:
Class Five Reiatsu cost. Depending on the Spirit, the relationship they have with their wielder, and their nature, the spirit in question may not choose to lend aid to the wielder. Small amounts of Physical and spiritual fatigue if they do help. Depends heavily on the user's own skill and sword technique to make useful. Must be within the range of the original slash or attack, I.E, you can't teleport the slash behind someone if you have no possible way of getting over there with your original strike. Shunpo does not count.

Technique Description and Effects:
A special Shunpo technique where one moves to their opponents back. Directly attacking and sealing one's "Saketsu" (First Soul Chain) and "Hakusui" (Second Soul Chain) in one strike. The movement is so fast that an opponent may not be able to tell whether he was attacked from the front or the back and even an outside observer may find it impossible to tell what the movements are. It costs 100 Reiatsu per use. To use this particular brand of Shunpo, the user must train to learn it. It is treated as a Class 5 technique. Senka is an 11x increase in Speed.
How to use technique:
Focus of Reishi around the feet area and launch off into a single blurring step. It is not unlike teleportation in appearance, but it is simply extremely fast movement. It is often used to gain an edge in a single moment of combat or to dodge incoming attacks.

Aiming at the location where the net is desired with the casting hand is necessary.

Technique Description and Effects: A brutal spell, this Kido forms a box of black energy around a target, which is then pierced by dozens of energy "spears", lacerating the one inside from head to toe. Its appearance and function is reminiscent of a common magician's trick, as well as certain torture devices used during the Spanish Inquisition. Escape from within is nearly impossible, causing those trapped by it to face certain doom. It is virtually unbreakable from the inside, except by a vastly superior spiritual strength, and with a technique class 2 or above. This is also considered impossible to dodge at point blank range.
How to use technique: Speak the spell and point hand towards the target.
Incantation and Effect: “Seeping crest of turbidity. Arrogant vessel of lunacy! Boil forth and deny! Grow numb and flicker! Disrupt sleep! Crawling queen of iron! Eternally self-destructing doll of mud! Unite! Repulse! Fill with soil and know your own powerlessness!” With the incantation, this spell gets a 40% increase in Reiatsu Strength (i.e. if Reiatsu Strength is 100, this is treated as 140 with incantation).

Technique Description and Effects: This spell is, in all practicality, a doubled version of Hado #33, Sōkatsui. When released, this spell fires with the potency of not one, but two Sōkatsui orbs, creating an enormous blast of blue fire that can easily consume a target as it envelops them. Even glancing hits can cause first-degree burns with ease.
How to use technique: Speak the spell and point hand towards the target.
Incantation and Effect: “Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens.” With the incantation, this spell gets a 30% increase in Reiatsu Strength (i.e. if Reiatsu Strength is 100, this is treated as 130 with incantation).

Technique Description and Effects: Electric current flows through any object the user touches and is able to lead electricity, damaging any target that is in contact with the object the current runs through. Incantation and Effect: Incantation unknown. When the incantation is spoken, the number of active posts this is used for is doubled. (With maximum cost, this can be up to four posts.)
