The salty breeze of Ireland was quite a nice change of pace compared to the busy, crowded streets of Japan. Where normally there were 25 people in Tokyo, there was a single person in Dublin. Now, Dublin was far smaller than Tokyo, but still the streets felt much more spacious to the Japanese man. On a business trip to the isle in order to see if new branches of his corporation could be opened, Kazura Uzaki was enjoying himself. The meetings had been fairly stiff, as usual, but now he was out on his own in the open air, and he had no reason to worry. The small population of humans, compared to Karakura Town or Tokyo, made for a huge lack of Ghosts. There were some that flitted about here and there, going about their normal battles, so Kazura didn't interfere.
Those Ghosts... They think that they own this world, but soon I will Purge them all... When I become stronger. I've yet to take one down, but it will happen eventually, I'm sure of it! A Beast had been slain by a Sword Ghost, it disappearing into void like all the rest. The Japanese man knew that it was his destiny to send them all into the void, keeping them from his home and his world. Nothing could stop him from this goal. If he continued to live, he continued to grow, with his technology getting better with each encounter that he had. And as he walked down the streets of Dublin, he noticed something strange. His Soul Glasses picked up a Ghost Energy signature, but when he clicked off the Ghost viewing mode, the figure was still there.
It was a human with Ghost Energy. His interest piqued, he followed the boy silently, his presence completely unknown. The boy led him to a house that had a whole family of these humans with Ghost Energy. The boy was the weakest by far, which made him the easiest target. As silent as a mouse, and just about as hidden, Kazura waited on the rooftop of the house, watching for when the boy would leave. As he had no spiritual energy, he wouldn't be able to be sensed by the energy sensory of the household, and he could just wait in obscurity. When John Ryan left the building, he'd follow him for a little while before dropping down in front of him. Dressed like Batman, with a gas mask covering half of his face, Kazura spoke. "You. Boy. What are you doing carrying around Ghost Energy in your body."

Even though the relationship John had with his family members was tenuous, to say the least, he enjoyed returning to Ireland every so often to catch up with his grandmother. It was she who had taught him about the best part to being a Quincy, reishi manipulation. A breeze blew across the streets, carrying the sweet smell of the River Liffey. John had just finished visiting his grandmother, and was planning on visiting his grandfather's grave. He missed the old man. His grandfather had fought with his father over John's training, constantly trying to prove to him that this was no way to raise an Echt Quincy. His death was nothing grandiose, just the slow, painful demise of cancer. Ironically, his high reiatsu fuelled the tumour growth, instead of halting it.
John was lost in thought about the finer details of Quincy biology, when a man wearing a gas mask and dressed like... Batman, for want of a better description, dropped down before him. You. Boy. What are you doing carrying Ghost Energy around in your body. Shocked, John attempted a scan for reiatsu. The results were even more shocking. The man had either none, or very little reiatsu! How on earth could he sense John's own. John immediately took several steps back, putting a little distance between himself and the strange man.
Ghost Energy... Perhaps he isn't aware of who and what I am really... But he certainly has some strange notions about the world we live in... , John thought. The man looked strong and fast, certainly stronger and faster than John was. He also seemed to wear an armour of some kind, perhaps reiatsu resistant? John doubted it. No such thing existed in the World of the Living yet, but that it meant it had some other purpose...
"Look here sir," John decided the best approach may be to reason with him. "I realise that you have some idea about the kind of power I wield, you may even know that I am a Quincy. But I assure you sir, I wish you no harm. We're both human." It was a poor card to play, the 'we're both human' card, but John had no desire to fight this man. Maybe, if he could just find out what he wanted...

Hmm... the kid wasn't a fight starter, that was good. Somewhat. When faced with a hostile opponent, instead of fight, John sought out diplomatic means. Kazura could respect that, however, diplomacy wasn't going to help very much in this situation. The Japanese man had already settled on getting information out of the Quincy, and though he seemed willing to leak bits and pieces here and there, Kazura wanted more. He needed research, needed data, needed blood. "Of course you're a Quincy. Your Quincy stench is rancid. The real question is, why aren't you fighting with your Quincyness yet? Or are Quincy's pushovers?" Kazura had no idea what he was saying, didn't know what a Quincy was, or if they smelled any different than a normal human, and his ploy might be seen right through, but words alone wouldn't spur John into action.
Kazura cracked his knuckles, then slipped his gloved hands into his belt. It was obvious that the knuckles of the gauntlet were already lined with metal, but he didn't seem satisfied with that. Coming out of a pouch in his belt, his hands were holding two metal orbs, barely bigger than a large marble. The two marbles expanded in size, covering the bronze knuckles with four spikes, one for each knuckle. The convert-a-weapon that the Uzaki wielded could change into any weapon that he could imagine, at will when he wanted it to. With a sharp, dangerous weapon on his fists, slowly he began to walk towards John. "You're also wrong. We're not both human. You're less than human." The Japanese man spat on the ground in mock disgust, aiming to completely rile John into attacking him. Then he could begin to see whether or not Quincy were worth paying attention to in his quest to erase Ghosts from this world.

The man walked towards him menacingly, spitting on the ground at the word Quincy. Well... He certainly seems to have something against me... John thought. He shook his head in exasperation. Over the years he had encountered many jealous people, and this man certainly fit the type... But still, something didn't ring true about him. He claimed to hate Quincy, yet referred to their smell as their defining factor? He called spiritual pressure 'Ghost Energy'? It was certainly odd. Was he bluffing? John couldn't be sure. He certainly knew fragments of the truth, but nothing really substantial.
John continued to back away. There was definitely no way he was going to let that guy get those gloves anywhere near him. Still though, he didn't want to reveal the true nature of his Quincy power too quickly, in case the man was bluffing. He was running out of options. The man would certainly beat him in a standard hand to hand combat scenario. Diplomacy had failed, and the man didn't look like the type that would soften over time.
Hohle Schneide would probably provide the perfect way to fend him off so John could work out a strategy. With no reiatsu strength, the man wouldn't be able to break the blade, but John certainly wouldn't be able to do any damage on that suit with his current level of strength. With his mind set, he decided to go through with it. "I'm sorry sir but I don't think you've given me any other option..." By now they were a good distance down the street, in one of the more derelict areas of the city centre. Good. No one was going to get unnecessarily hurt.
John stretched his hand out in front of him. "Now! Smite the enemy with hollow steel!" John allowed Hohle Schneide to form, it's blade glistening in the sunlight. The drain on his reiatsu was immediate but of no concern. The beauty of this technique was in it's simplicity. No added extras meant no extra reiatsu costs. Perfect. Now, it was time to see what this man really wanted.

So... Quincies were mages, of sorts. With a spell incantation, a sword with the middle cut out jumped into John's hand out of nowhere. The way he held the blade showed Kazura that he was no novice at blade work, whereas fists were the Uzaki's area of expertise. The spell incantation itself didn't help the Japanese man to understand if the sword had any special properties, since the simple phrase just seemed to suggest that there would be a hollow sword produced, and it would be a physical blade, which is what happened. A physical, hollow blade appeared in his hand. And with the skill to wield it, John would no doubt beat Kazura in a sword duel. And even with armored fists, would that be enough to combat the kid's skills?
Kazura didn't know how fast John was, or how strong he was, yet, but he could definitely tell that there was some training in swordplay in John's past, so he decided against changing his spiked knuckles to a sword. Keeping his fist weapons, he was ready to get this kid to teach him things. Raising his palm at John, Kazura revealed a small vent set into the gauntlet. "Run, you clever boy, run." Out of the vent shot a highly compressed ball of air. It would strike the ground next to John, sending up a fair sized cloud of dust and a little bit of pebbles. It was as if an athletic person had kicked the ground and sent up the dust. With the warning shot fired, the hand then pointed at John.
With senses that were still human, John might not determine whether it had been air or a bullet that shot out, as both would be extremely fast. There had, however, been a distinct lack of a crack of gunpowder, or the smell of a firearm. And with the abilities to analyze things, John should be able to figure out that it wasn't a bullet, but was it still harmful? With the hand pointed now directly at John, there was a bit of danger in the air. With a twitch of his finger, Kazura fired another shot, this time directly at John. If John didn't act fast, then he'd be pushed backwards at a strength of 100. With his extremely weak physical body, he'd be sent head over heels if he didn't dodge or do something else. "What's the matter? Your sword ineffective at long range?"

John noticed the man changed his mind at the last second, exchanging one pair of gauntlets for another. He pointed at the ground, and there was an eruption of dirt. John didn't quite catch what he said beforehand, but it seemed it was like an incantation. Was he some sort of spellcaster? John doubted it. There was no surge of reiatsu, so the explosion was some kind of mechanical device in the glove, firing projectiles. The explosion wasn't like that of any bullets John had ever seen before though, so it was some other kind of projectile.
John checked around him for options, the man appeared to be pointing the glove at him now, he was also taunting John, goading him to do something stupid. John dismissed the thought, he wasn't going to use his bow unless he had to. Hohle Schneide would have to do. They were in a disused car-park, there wasn't much in terms of cover except a burnt out car in the far corner from John. He doubted he would be able to get to it by running, he'd be in the open for too long.
John noticed the man's fist was levelled at John, but his eyes didn't look like he was trying to kill John... But he would still fire. Judging from the size of the dust cloud the first shot had kicked up, John knew the projectiles weren't very large. He took two steps to the left, just as the man's hand shook from the recoil of the shot. John saw nothing, but felt a quick rush of air to his right-hand side. Compressed air!! Thats's what the shots were made of! The man DIDN'T have any spiritual pressure, but the lack of visible projectile fooled John into thinking his attacks were reiatsu.
John knew the shots didn't require any charging beforehand, the man had just fired two in quick succession. So he couldn't risk charging in just yet. There was only one thing for it. John let Hohle Schneide fade away, it had been completely useless after all. "Apologies sir, I fear I misjudged you..." John held out his right hand, and let his bow form. The man should be surprised, there weren't any weapons quite like it in the World of the Living. Thanks to his training, John didn't need to spend half as long firing arrows now, he could fire them quite quickly now.
He levelled his bow and discharged 3 arrows. The first was heading slightly left of the man, and the second slightly to the right. The third one, however, was heading right for him. If he dodged though, he should be hit by either of the two. John hoped the tactic would work, he didn't particularly want to the battle to drag on, or the man would slowly gain the advantage. He waited to see what the man would do next.

OOC: We really need to sit down and lay out a setting for this. I thought we were still on a street with buildings around us.
So... An -Archer- Mage? The sword dissipated, and instead was replaced by a bow. This time, he hadn't needed to use a spell incantation, so this must be a more general power of Quincies. As John pulled back on the string, an arrow appeared. This was most interesting. These arrows just simply grew into existence. He didn't have to draw one from a holster or a quiver, it just happened to exist when he willed it. The arrows were blue, and of some sort of pulsating energy, like a laser. That must be it. He was making lasers out of his hand, and firing them out of the bow that he made appear in a similar manner to the sword from before. Three arrows were shot out, and Kazura knew exactly how to act. He could easily analyze the trajectory of the first two, and knew that they'd pass by him to the side.
Warning shots they may be, or shots designed to limit his horizontal movement. Either way, they were all of a similar height. One of the most basic things you must learn in jujitsu is how to fall safely to a mat. With throws and grapples common in the martial art, one of the first things that new students learn is how to safely drop to the ground. Kazura did just that, letting the arrows pass over him before springing back up to his feet. The Japanese man was now at a disadvantage in the ranged department. Arrows were a lot more capable of damage than pushes of air. So, he'd just have to close the distance and make it a close range fight. John, by now, was probably confused and maybe even a little annoyed, as Kazura repeatedly changed the situation to suit himself.
Kazura was much faster than John, and the arrows had traveled linearly, so as a result, Kazura's movement could be difficult to react to. If John tried to calculate where Kazura would be, and then fire an arrow at that location, Kazura would slow down or speed up every time that he notched an arrow to his bow, throwing off his aim. The Japanese man strafed to the side of the area, moving ever closer to John. And when he got within a few feet, a bow would no longer become useful. With his considerable superiority in speed, Kazura would be able to get into Ryan's range and attack him before he could finish drawing his laser bow. With this superiority of speed, and the way that Kazura had counter analyzed John's trajectory in order to avoid any arrows that he fired, the Japanese man would quickly take this fight to the close range.
A spiked knuckle shot out at the bow, aiming to warp, dent, or break it. As it was merely summoned by John and wasn't inherently made up of physical components, Kazura would quickly find that his efforts were in vain, he could not break the bow. He transitioned from that punch into a step within the boy's personal range. Grabbing at the arm that drew the bow, and twisting the wrist away, Kazura's other arm went for the wrist with the bow, twisting that wrist too. He hoped that by directing the hands away from the body, even his magic sword creation couldn't appear and slice through his body. The gas mask made Kazura's words deeper, and darker, and looming over the kid, he spoke. "What is the purpose of your life? Why should I not end it and rid the world of more Ghost influence?"

(OOC: Ok, will do. Will we stick to the car park for the moment?)
John stood, surprised, with the man's hands clasped firmly around his wrists. It was a clever trick, it meant John couldn't use Hohle Schneide to damage him. John checked through his options... Obviously, the man wasn't aware of the reverse grip of a sword. Holding Hohle Scheide with the blade pointing down would give John enough leverage to break free. However, he was aware that constantly switching techniques would do no wonders for his reiatsu.
He attempted to look through the glass of the gas mask, attempting to divine the man's true intentions. If he wanted John dead, he could have killed him now. He obviously wanted information. John didn't see a huge amount of harm in telling him a bit of Quincy folklore. Not even allowing his voice to tremble, he began: "You see sir, us Quincy are exactly the same as you. We are humans who discovered the truth of the world we live in. We worked out what Hollows and Shinigami were, and we felt a need to protect our world from spiritual attacks. We found ways to equip ourselves, much like yourself, and began our crusade against the Hollows. I assure you sir, I mean no you harm. But I would like you to let go of my wrists please."
John decided against mentioning the glory of der Kaiser, and how he was the god of all Quincies. It didn't really fit in with the idea of Quincies that John wanted this man to believe, and to be honest, didn't quite gel with his idea of a Quincy either. John may have imagined it, but he thought he felt the man's grip loosen. John decided to take it on good faith that he was going to let him go, but still prepared to summon Hohle Schneide in a reverse grip should he decide to try anything tricky. John also shifted his weight slightly, so the man would have a harder time throwing him to the ground if he planned on doing so.
Post by Kazura Uzaki on Oct 28, 2013 8:46:42 GMT -5
Kazura chuckled a little. "Ok, I'll let you go." The Japanese man had his opponent right where he wanted him. The kid was begging for his life, practically. Kazura could kill him with ease, and be on his way, or he could devastate the kid and leave him permanently scarred, or whatever he wanted. He chose to leave the kid with a lasting memory that average people, not one of his "crusading Quincy" were capable of great feats. He had loosened his grip slightly, but that was just a ploy. Still holding on too tight for John to pull away from, Kazura returned to a tight grip, while tugging the Quincy towards him. With John off balance towards the other man, the Uzaki's head went forwards and downwards.
Kazura would headbutt John, and due to his helmet, he'd have a bit more protection than the kid. The force of being struck in the head at decent strength would leave John slightly dazed. Letting go of the hand that had been drawing the arrows, Kazura decided to actually harm John this time. His spiked knuckle swung out, aiming for the forearm of the arm that he was still holding tight to. The puncture wounds wouldn't be incredibly debilitating, but the bleeding and the pain in moving that arm would be great. Even greater would be the pain in holding that arm upwards, due to the damage done to the muscles. Kazura hoped that he had completely removed the Quincy's ability to be a threat, seeing as holding his bow up would be incredibly painful, and even transferring the bow to the other hand would cause problems, as drawing the bow with the wounded arm would hurt. Pushing John away so that he'd be sent sprawling, Kazura prepared for what he'd do next.
Post by Hadrian J. Ryan Ⅻ on Oct 28, 2013 10:33:26 GMT -5
John fell to the ground, his bow arm bleeding heavily. This was not going well at all. The man wouldn't listen to reason, nor would desist in what seemed like a 'punishment' to John. John picked himself up off the ground, and dusted down his coat. He desperately tried not to let the pain and humiliation appear on his face, but he couldn't stop his eyes from beginning to swim with tears. His vision became slowly blurred with the pain in his arm. He couldn't even attempt to use his bow now, his arm would become in even worse from the strain of sustaining it. There was only one thing he could possibly do, to even the playing field between him and this man.
John could only hope that his man had no more tricks up his sleeve, as this was John's last card. "I'm sorry sir... All I wanted was to do some good for humanity, all I wanted was to help people... You see, I'm an ordinary person too, doing great things." John stretched out his arms, and this blood dripped to the ground, adding emphasis to his words. "I bleed the same way you do... I'm afraid though, you've left me no choice but to use our final technique. I will admit, it is not advisable for a Quincy as humble as I am to perform it, but I will not die here."
It was a bold move, but it had to be done. He wouldn't be able to use his arrows anymore, as the World of the Living didn't have enough loose reishi, but it would be a VERY effective boost to his melee ability, especially given that his Vollstandig created two blades he could use. John could feel the glowing aura of reishi surrounding his body, strengthening his bones and muscles. All of a sudden, he was enveloped in a massive column of light, visible only to those with spiritual pressure. Maybe the man could see it through his goggles, maybe he couldn't. It was a desperate move on John's part, but it felt so good to have the rush of reishi in his veins. It was better than any drug.
The column shattered, and John emerged in his Final Holy Form. His full face mask gave the world a golden tint, and it distorted his words. "Apologies sir, I never expected it to come to this. This is our final power, Quincy Vollstandig. You can't imagine how much it pains me to use this, but I simply cannot cope with your abilities otherwise." John was not trying to flatter the man, it was true. His Vollstandig was the only chance he had of beating this man. His wings spread out, revealing the entirety of his majestic form. It was impossible no to feel beautiful in a form as elegant as this.
Before Kazura tried anything, John closed the distance between them, diving at him. His wings were pointed, like a hawk diving at it's prey. He held out one of his blades before him, trying to end the fight as quickly as possible. He just hoped Vollstandig would be enough to defeat this man.
Post by Kazura Uzaki on Nov 5, 2013 16:29:41 GMT -5
John seemed fed up with Kazura, seemed tired of being pushed around and thrown to the ground. The cruel head butt combo from the Japanese man had seen to that. The boy claimed that he was about to use his final ultimate power. That was fine, Kazura should easily be able to guess what it was before it happened. Quincies were Archer Mages. His ultimate power should either be some super bow with a lot of super arrows, or some sort of nuke. Either way, with John at the epicenter of what was going to happen, Kazura realized that he didn't want to be close to the boy who was going to try and destroy him at any cost. Starting to dash away, the Uzaki only got a few feet before a pillar of energy shot up out of the kid.
Heh, he missed The pillar of light shattered as if it had been made out of glass, and what was left was John... possibly. The boy had been made into a Valkyrie, a winged angel with a pair of Holy Swords. He was faster as he rushed to pursue the older man, though he was still slower than what Kazura was capable of. Managing to keep in front of John, the Uzaki turned to face him head on. Immediately he realized the foolishness of this plan. Not having time to go back to running, he was looking at a three pronged attack, while he only had two weapons to use. An increase in speed was almost assuredly accompanied by an increase in strength, so his air cannons probably wouldn't do much, if anything. The blade was extended forwards farther than the wings, so maybe Kazura could still manage to avoid being killed.
He ducked down a little while striking out at the sword. The sword would be knocked away, as John was still physically weaker than the Uzaki. However, he wouldn't be able to fully dodge the wings as they stabbed into his armor at the shoulders. They really should have been stopped, he thought, due to the weak force behind them, but they slid through the armor like butter and pierced his flesh. Gritting his teeth, he let himself be raised up by the wings and kicked at John's face while he was lifted up by the force of the charging kid. Whatever the result of that kick, two blasts out of the cannons in his hands would send John skidding backwards and extricating Kazura from the wings. Blood dripping down his torso, and his shoulders in pain, the man would have counterattacked if it weren't for the numbers appearing in his vision.
Not only had one of the ghost energy numbers tripled for John, but there were new sets of numbers on the horizon. Small numbers, but there were still new figures approaching. "Don't move... Something approaches." Out of the side of the car park emerged two Hollows. They both started towards John, as he had lit up like a beacon to attract them. "Foolish boy. Now you've attracted Beasts. I'll take one, you take the other. Don't die or I'll kill you again myself." Dashing off to draw one of the Hollows away from John, the golden boy was left to face the other remaining creature. The remaining Hollow looked like a human sized monkey, with a sharp barbed tail and a bone white mask. The mouth was open, in which a red orb was forming. John would have to react fast as a Cero burst out of the monkey's mouth and tore across the car park towards him.

John felt his sword being pushed away from the intended target. His Vollstandig certainly hadn't given him the power he had expected, the man was still far stronger than him. However, his sharp wings of reishi slid through the man, lacerating his shoulder like a hot knife through butter. He then attempted to disengage by firing his air cannons into John, pushing him away. The blasts of compressed air stung, but did no more than push John back across the yard. He looked up at the man, who was about to prepare for another attack. However, he had paused. He appeared to be checking something in the visor of his face mask, and he was obviously displeased with his results.
He had just finished talking about the arrival of 'Beasts' when two Hollows stormed into the car park, obviously drawn by the power being radiated by John's beautiful Vollstandig. The man was very annoyed however, and blamed John for their arrival. John didn't say a word as the man went off to tackle the other Hollow, because he was right. John was too weak, too pitiful. He couldn't even hope to maintain a fight without his Vollstandig, and now he had put people in danger by using it. These Hollows were drawn in by him, and he was going to take responsibility for them. Worryingly enough, he had heightened his Vollstandig's energy sensory abilities at all, meaning he hadn't had any notice of the Hollows' arrival.
He turned to face his opponent. He would deal with this one, and then move onto the one the man was facing. John doubted that the Hollow would be as easy an opponent as he was, given that the Hollow would have no reservations about completely obliterating the man. However, his train of thought was rudely interrupted by the sound of the Hollow charging a Cero. He had never come across one before, as he had never encountered Hollows powerful enough to use them before. He smiled. This was going to be too easy. Just before the Hollow discharged it's Cero, he lifted his left sword. This was the true power of his Vollstandig.
As the Cero approached him as a wide beam, he activated the power which Quincies were the master of. Reiatsu absorption. The Cero would appear to proceed normally until it came within about 5 metres of John. Then, any observer would see the Cero simply fade into nothingness. As John broke down the attack into reishi, the Cero would lose its colour and sound. He felt its power course through his veins, providing him with the perfect amount of power to use a few arrows. Not even moving his left arm, he raised his right sword, and laid it lightly over his right blade, forming a cross. As soon as the two blades made contact, a brilliant arrow of light was discharged, more powerful than any he had ever fired before. It's brilliant light illuminated the car park further, it was quite magnificent.
He hoped the Hollow wouldn't be able to dodge it, he would have liked this fight to end quickly. All the same, as his vision returned to normal, he prepared himself for another attack.
Meanwhile, the Hollow the man was facing would be starting an attack of its own. It resembled a butterfly, with its wings folded neatly behind it's back. It had six legs, all of which ended with vicious claws. Not even using its wings, it scurried towards the man, threatening to cleave him in two with its claws. The man would have to to do something about it, lest he wanted his suit to become a two-piece.

The cero was absorbed and John fired a large white arrow across the car park. Kazura noted the whole exchange while chasing his winged opponent. Beasts were capable of generating large laser beams, and Quincies were able to absorb them. Whether or not this was a bonus of the Ultimate Form that John had talked about remained to be seen, seeing as the Uzaki couldn't create lasers to test him with. This Vollstandig seemed incredibly potent, and definitely was something to take care to defend against. If it could create huge laser arrows like that normally, then Kazura would have been done for. Somehow, taking energy from that blast attack meant that John had access to energy for his arrows again. How much he had remained to be seen.
The monkey's tail turned into a spring, and propelled him upwards in a blur. With his less than powerful reiatsu strength, even the Vollstandig arrows weren't massive yet. With a speed of 450, the bounce upwards would easily clear the arrow. Showing a decent control of reishi, the hollow just stood on air ground, watching the arrow pass him by. Still with his tail coiled up like a spring, he shot forwards again, aiming to pass over top of John and deliver his smelly payload. Fecal matter sprayed out of his rear, seeking to cover the Quincy in the foul stuff. It wasn't made up out of reiatsu, it wasn't an aggressive attack, it was merely three metric butt loads of poop. With the smelly surprise aimed at John, Kazura worked on attacking his insectoid enemy.
When going about attacking flying enemies, range is important. At present, the Japanese man did not have a wide variety of ranged equipment that were good for damaging things extensively. And with the strength he had seen Beasts possessing, like Grodd, they could easily be dangerous at any range. However, the butterfly Beast didn't seem to be nearly as strong as Grodd, who simply gave off an aura of strength with his very breath. Wanting to test the creature, he fired a shot of his air cannon to strike the grounded creature. If it hit, it would send the creature sliding backwards. It's stronger than John was, and is weaker than he is now. I can work with this. Behind the creature was the fence to the car park that it had flown over, and it was going to be the perfect weapon for Kazura.
Moving until the butterfly was in between him and the fence, he acted quickly and brutally. A twitch of his fingers shot two cables out of his belt, that would hook into the chain links of the metal barrier. Usually this equipment was good for pulling Kazura forwards, but he wasn't going to use the air tanks in the back. Instead, he was going to reel in the cables while transforming his two convert-a-weapons into long sharp spears. The fence would be ripped out of the ground and would be pulled like a net towards the butterfly. Hopefully catching the thing off guard, as the cables had obviously missed it, and slamming into its back, the fence would drag the Beast towards the two spears that were supported against the ground. The aim was to pierce its torso and face, but it could definitely move and be hit somewhere else in its thrashing to get away from the fence.

John looked at the Hollow in disgust. It had proceeded into the sky, where it thought it had the advantage. However, John was prepared for any sort of ranged attack it could throw at him, even if what it threw was slightly... unexpected. John had already moved though, and used his wings to push himself not up, but across the car park. It put him well out of the range of the Hollow's... product, and also gave him a view of now both fights were progressing. However, he paid no attention the man's fight at the moment, instead working on how to fight his opponent. The Hollow was still up in the air, surveying the area. It had made the mistake of staying in the sky, where the Quincy Vollstandig was devastatingly effective.
John immediately flapped his wings, and in one powerful burst soared skyward, shooting past the Hollow. Now he had the height advantage. However, something caught his eye, the man had ensnared the Hollow in the chain link fence of the car park, and was dragging the Hollow towards him. John smiled, and silently thanked the man for making the Hollow such an easy target, as the Hollow moved, John trained one sword slightly in front of it, and fired another arrow. He turned back to his opponent, the foul Monkey-Hollow. It was a bit below him, so John employed the tactics of a hawk. He dived down at the Hollow with his wings pointed, giving him fearsome speed. It didn't matter how physically fast he was, gravity was doing the work now. It was up to the Hollow to dodge the attack now.
Kazura would see the Hollow thrash and flail in an attempt to escape from the makeshift net, but only if he had been paying attention would he notice the bolt of brilliant light which shot down from the heavens. The shot would strike the Hollow, destroying half it's body, but not fully killing it. Unfortunately for Kazura, this meant the Hollow had a lot let less of a body with which to hit the two spears with it. As it approached, it dodged slightly to the side of the two poles, and sliced across Kazura with it's remaining limbs on the left hand side of its body. As it did so, it screamed, revealing the two sharp mandibles hidden behind the jaw of its mask. Kazura would have to think fast to avoid being sliced by the Hollow.
