Enma's black flames caught up with Walter as he penetrated himself with his own arrows, and the white flames overtook his body. From behind them, Enma emerged, observing the Vandenreich as he burned away into nothingness by his own accord. The black flames consumed the white, and began to eat them away, however, so that Walter's final moment of disappearance would be mixed with Enma's black fire as well, and the particles of him that dissipated would appear to begin to blacken. More than this, Enma halted his flames, allowing them to linger only over Walter's white, and begin to extinguish them to reduce the holiness of the Vandenreich's appearance as he began to chip away and die. It was too late to stop his suicide.
Then, as the explosion happened, the hand clenched around it, and suffocated the residual explosion as Enma backed away to gain his distance, a black magic circle creating a shield of his energy in front of him. When that too had dissipated, and the explosion had left only a floating upper half of Walter, Enma continued his approach. It was methodical, but it was not slow. He approached the burning and dying Walter who was surrounded in white and black flames, and he looked at him straight in the eyes. Enma had no doubt that there was one last thing which he wanted to say to the Quincy. Enma's presence had begun to erode the castle, as had Walter's demise. As Walter chipped away, the castle began to as well.
"You can never escape me..." Enma told Walter. "Nothing harms me." He reached Walter so that they were mere feet from each other, and Walter would at last be able to see through the holes of Enma's mask to see his eyes, black where they should be white, red in place of any other color, with pupils shaped like X forms instead of circles. These were the eyes of the Devil. These were Enma's eyes. "But I know pain..." Enma concluded. He reached toward Walter, grasping at his burning throat with golden gauntlets as he burned away. The flame on the hand that grasped Walter's throat turned violet, and black bats with glowing red eyes began to fly around Walter, white snakes with sharp fangs began to slither around him, and odd, demonic shadows crept across his body.
"I know PAIN..." As Walter's upper body continued to dissipate, Enma leaned in closely so that Walter could hear his breathing from behind the mask. His eyes were unblinking, and were almost heretical before the dissolving of the Vandenreich General. "Sometimes..." Enma concluded. "I share it...with people...like you..." Enma's mask, an unmoving face, almost touched Walter's nose. At last, Enma spoke the most conclusional line that he had been saving for Walter. All of the theatrics, this entire battle, had all built up to the one thing that Enma had most wanted to say and do since the invasion began. "When you become one with him...tell your Emperor...I'm coming for him too. Tell him that starting now...no Quincy is safe from me...not even him."
It was at this point that Walter fully dissipated, though Enma had been quick enough to convey all of his words before the body was physically gone. Whether or not Walter had heard everything did indeed depend. As the castle continued to break down from its creator's sudden demise, Enma left the room, and began walking the halls confidently. His Bankai faded away so that it could not be stolen, and Quincy from all around noticed him walking, their eyes widening that he was still alive. They were surprised, and many were terrified. Some attacked him, and some fled. It made no difference. Those that attacked, Enma quickly dispersed and murdered in cold blood. Those that fled, Enma chased after and hunted down like animals.
Those that fled were eventually killed in slower, more painful ways, and with Enma's words haunting them to their very last moments. Their screams echoed for a mile all around as the ice began to chip away and fade. Their corpses littered the castle in blood and anguish. Indeed, the Seireitei had been destroyed in the Vandenreich invasion. However, on this day, a small piece of revenge had been found. Today was a day of massacre, and of slaughter. Today was a day where Quincy were exterminated from their own castle like vermin. At last, with the castle completely gone, and corpses littering the ground everywhere where it had previously stood, only two Quincy remained alive, and Enma walked toward them.
The first rushed at him with a cry, firing arrows that he was easily able to deflect with his sword. He grabbed at that Quincy, strangling him to death and then tearing out his eyes. As Enma arrived at the final Quincy, he grabbed him, rubbing his hand over the Quincy's face to smear his comrade's blood onto it, and he finally spoke. "I've killed everyone in this castle." Enma explained. "And I will kill everyone in your Vandenreich, including your Emperor." He pinned the Quincy against the wall, raising his thumbs into the Quincy's eyes. "But I won't kill you. I'll leave you alive to tell them what happened. You will be a witness." Enma reached his fingers into the Quincy's eyes and tore them out before punching him in the throat to knock him out. As he fell unconscious to the ground, Enma turned and requested a Senkaimon from Soul Society. It opened, and he stepped into it, disappearing into it.
