So Raygin (Third seat of squad 13) has been to the human world because they have been noticing a lot of spiritual activity around there. Really it's just Kennon beating up a bunch of weakling hollows without breaking a sweat. Ray has also come there and for some reason they start fighting. BEGIN!

It was a nice morning. The sea was nice, the docks were very quite though, maybe everyone had the day off. There were warehouses and a few boats around. The sea was there, it was a great day to be playing outside. It was a terrible time to be working unlike some unfortunate people. Luckily for Kennon his school had been given the day off as well. What was he going to be doing during this day off? He could be doing a lot of things. Playing games, training, going out. What was he doing? He was doing one of his favourite activities. Painting!
Kennon loved to paint. He was really good at it as well. He could paint a lot of things ranging from a view of something, to a city, to people. Almost anything pretty much. Today was on of those days when Kennon was in an abandoned warehouse, with about ten canvases, a painting apron and a large tray of paint and a paintbrush. His love of paint was great. But unfortunately today he was having a bad day, it was like a painters block. He couldn’t paint properly, this was... irritating him a lot. Now he is in the warehouse, screaming so loud.
“NO NO NO! THIS PAINTING IS ALL WRONG!” Kennon screamed as he threw his paintbrush on the floor. It was pretty annoying, he was trying to paint a picture of a giant shuriken and he kept on getting the damn shadow and background wrong! Kennon threw the canvas in the trash pile. It was a pretty big pile, there was about 5 failed pictures. Kennon simply sighed as he threw off his apron. He was in an abandoned warehouse by the docks, no one usually knew he did his paintings there, no one ever even noticed he liked to paint there. Kennon didn’t care either way. What he cared about that he was having a really bad painting day. A sunny day off and he was painting badly! This was unforgivable!
He quickly threw off his apron, washed his hands and face and proceeded to leave. That is when he heard it, he heard the howling of hollows. Kennon wasn’t worried, all hollows were weak anyway. He wondered why people were so scared of them really, all they did was eat. On top of that their masks were so ugly! Everything about then was ugly, their weird body shapes, even when they talked they sounded stupid and ugly. Suddenly he was surrounded by about three of them. Kennon looked around, they were kind of big but nothing he couldn’t handle.
“Mmmmm! A nice human, he smells so nice, I can’t wait to devour him!” One of them said. Kennon simply smirked. He had his hands in his pockets. One of them took a step forwards, he could see drool coming from the corner of its mouth. “Okay look! I ain’t in a very good mood today, I’ve just failed five paintings and the last thing I need is a bunch of ugly fucks like you ruining this peaceful morning!” Kennon said, sounding very irritated. The three of them simply laughed in unison, now they were really pissing him off! “You tell us to scram? You’re nothing but a boy!” He chuckled. Kennon simply shrugged his shoulder, pulling out his wooden knife. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you!” Kennon said, with a psychotic smirk on his face.
Fifteen minutes later “N-no please spare me, I’ll never bother you again I promise!” The big hollow whimpered. Well he didn’t seem that big anymore, he was missing a leg and Kennon was completely unharmed. Kennon simply chuckled. “Me? Why should I spare you big guy? Listen here, I am the chains that bind you to your fate. Your fate is to die today!” Kennon said. Suddenly there was an explosion and there was nothing but a hole in the ground. Kennon allowed his fullbirng to fade away and he simply sat down on a barrel. The hollows were so weak and easy, on top of that they were so damn ugly. Kennon absolutely hated ugly things.
Then Kennon heard another sound. Was it another hollow? He quickly spun around, wondering what was making a racket. Surely the hollows would’ve known to clear out after seeing their ‘friend’ get slaughtered. Kennon went to investigate. He could see someone there, he didn’t know who it was. He had a zanpakuto by his side and he was just there. He looked harmless but Kennon knew who this was, it was a shinigami. Kennon was already pissed, he didn’t want all this random crap happening and invading his personal space! “Listen you!” Kennon called out, he was holding his wooden knife again, clutching it tightly in his grasp. “I’m not in a good mood, I’m in a very bad mood! Unless you want a beating by me you better clear out now!” Kennon demanded, he didn’t care that he was sounding rude. It was a pretty annoying day. First he couldn’t draw a freaking shuriken, then stupid hollows come and start annoying him! Now there was someone coming in the docks and annoying him more!
Hold on... Maybe I’ll get to stretch my legs a little bit. Maybe this might be a fun fight where I can brutalize this guy. Actually wait but what if I get a scar? What if he messes up my clothes? What if my paintings get damaged? So much stuff can happen! Kennon thought to himself as he glared at the guy. “Well? Are you gonna clear out or not? I don’t wanna fight but if I got to I’ll fucking pulverise you!” Kennon shouted out. Surely he was getting his attention now. Kennon wasn’t usually one to pick street fights but he wanted to beat someone up, he wondered why he was feeling so violent. Kennon didn’t care, whether the man ran away or not was certainly up to him. If he stayed and fought then he had Kennon’s respect. If he turned and ran then he was a coward.
"Nyaaaaaaah double baconator with ice cream......" was what Ray said as he scratched his belly in his blissful sleep. Raygin Kawada, 3rd Seat of the 13th Squad of the Gotei 13, was napping on his job. He was sent to do some patrols on Karakura Town; kill Hollows, perform Soul Burials on Pluses, be on the lookout for anything suspicious. You know, regular Shinigami stuff. But Ray wasn't doing that right now. He was on top of a building in the industrial district of Karakura Town catching some needed Z's. The Shinigami spent most of his time training or pulling pranks on his fellow Shinigami that he never really got any good amount of time to sleep. So, what better way then to take advantage of this patrol mission? He hadn't been asleep for too long. Maybe about thirty minutes. Not long enough to go into Stage 4 sleep, nah he was still in the transitional Stage 3 sleep.
Luckily for him he didn't enter Stage 4 or he would have been very grumpy when he woke up. Ray woke up when his ability to sense energy kicked in. Normally, subtle things wouldn't even phase him but the combined reiatsu strength of three hollows was more than enough to cause him to open his eyes. The young man sat up and rubbed his eyes a few times. His mind was still a little fuzzy but he could still feel the Hollows. He wasn't able to pinpoint them just yet but if given a few moments Ray would be able to locate them with no problem. So in the meantime he leaned against the buildings railing and closed his eyes to focus.
Ask a person what sensing energy is like and they will usually always answer differently. If you asked Ray what he thought the ability was like he would say it was like your mind was a sonar. The best way for Ray to describe the feeling of reiatsu was like fuzzy feeling in his head in the direction of the source. But it was more than that. It wasn't just a fuzzy feeling. This would be the point that Ray would begin to babble and not make sense. He would lose focus and shut down.
Ray shook his head clear of his drowsiness and focused. His minds eye depicted three large hollows. Each appeared to his mind like a mass of light, being brighter if they were stronger. The Shinigami decided to go deal with them as he placed his foot on the railing to kick off of it. But something happened that caught him off guard. A new source of energy that made Ray blink. This source had reaitsu stronger than the Hollows. Ray couldn't see the fight but he could tell the Hollows were losing. One by one the Hollow reiatsu vanished until all that remained was the fourth source. "Whoa! That was pretty good. I wonder who that was?" Ray asked himself as he leapt from the building. He fell for about two stories before activating air ground.
Ah air ground was such a useful ability. Too bad Shinigami couldn't fly. That would just be cooler. Ray dashed towards the source creating a road of solid reishi below his feet so he didn't fall. As Ray got closer the unknown source of reiatsu began to feel...odd. It didn't feel like a Shinigami at all. No, this reiatsu felt....alive? Not only that this reiatsu felt like a Hollows. Did Ray such feel a Hollow fight? One Hollow eating three? Considering the strength of reiatsu Ray was feeling from this source he could be heading into a dangerous fight.
Ray stopped his run when he felt he was right over the unknown thing. Ray still hadn't figured out what it was. It felt Hollow yet at the same it didn't feel Hollow. Rays sensing abilities were going crazy. Ray lowered himself onto the ground and looked over at the warehouse he felt the energy from. He stepped inside carefully nervous of some kind of ambush. Ray could still feel the source of energy in the warehouse and then laid his eyes on...him?
It was a human? The source was coming from a human? Wait, that had to be wrong maybe the Hollow had taken a human form? Ray bonked his head a few times to try and fix his senses. But no, the energy source was coming from this human? But how? Humans weren't supposed to have this much spiritual power. Then the human spoke to Ray, and frankly it wasn't a very nice thing to say. "I’m not in a good mood, I’m in a very bad mood! Unless you want a beating by me you better clear out now!"
Ray frowned and raised a eyebrow. "Hey! Pull the stick outta your butt and calm down. I aint here to fight I came here because I felt Hollows, which I see you took care of. Thanks for doing my job! Makes my life easier and I get easy money." Ray chuckled. "But how did you take care of the Hollows? Are you a Shinigami in a Gigai? Or are you a Hollow in a human form? You feel like a Hollow to be honest, but you don't seem like one..." Raygin said. He then noticed something behind Kennon. "Are you a painter?" Ray asked the Fullbringer.
"Well? Are you gonna clear out or not? I don’t wanna fight but if I got to I’ll fucking pulverise you!" "Hey! Quit being so butthurt! There is no reason to be saying fuck. Fuck aint a nice word so don't say fuck okay!" Ray shouted back at Kennon. Seriously, what was this dudes problem anyways? Ray hadn't done a single thing to make this guy mad for once. Ray kept his hand on his Zanpakuto as he looked back at the canvas. Suddenly that little thing in his brain that caused Ray to troll came to life. It wormed its way into every part of the brain and took over. "Oooooh I get it. You're mad because you suck at your art? Is that it? There aint no french girls you can paint? I bet you like to draw boobies." Ray teased with that dumb grin of his. He snickered as he looked at Kennon to see his reaction.

Kennon's eye twitched slightly. This Shinigami was REALLY trying t piss him off in the funniest way possible. "Hey! Pull the stick outta your butt and calm down. I ain't here to fight I came here because I felt Hollows, which I see you took care of. Thanks for doing my job! Makes my life easier and I get easy money." Ray chuckled. "But how did you take care of the Hollows? Are you a Shinigami in a Gigai? Or are you a Hollow in a human form? You feel like a Hollow to be honest, but you don't seem like one..." Kennon sighed, he was clutching his wooden knife in his hands which was his object of affinity. "I am neither Shinigami nor hollow... How the fuck can I be a hollow? Those ugly fuckers look nothing like me! I am simply a human!" Kennon said, now he was sounding very irritated by the lack of respect this guy was showing.
"Hey! Quit being so butthurt! There is no reason to be saying fuck. Fuck ain't a nice word so don't say fuck okay!" The Shinigami said. Kennon was now getting even more pissed. He was talking to him like he was a kid. Okay technically Kennon was still a kid since he was under 21 but this guy had no right telling him what to do! "Listen shini-" Then Kennon was cut off by this Shinigami. "Oooooh I get it. You're mad because you suck at your art? Is that it? There ain't no french girls you can paint? I bet you like to draw boobies."
Is he seriously insulting my art work? Is he seriously doing that? It seems he's asking to be obliterated! Kennon thought to himself. That was fucking it! He had gone too far! Kennon was now ready to activate his fullbring again. He was blast this guy to oblivion! "That's it... Paint Bomb!" Kennon shouted. Suddenly his wooden knife started glowing, it was glowing orange then a squelchy bubbly noise could be heard. The knife then split down the middle and was coated in orange paint. It started dripping all over the floor. "Listen man... There are clearly powers in this world you don't know two shits about." Kennon said coldly.
At that statement regardless or whether Ray replied or not Kennon was attacking. He immediately started sprinting towards Ray. He then threw a wave of paint at him. Whether or not Ray dodged was entirely up to him. This was only an opening to what Kennon was doing. After he threw the paint he used a combination of speed and acrobatics to do his next trick. By now he would be close to Ray, almost in breathing distance. Kennon that jumped, using his flexibility and acrobatic moves Kennon did a front flip right over his head. At that Kennon would try to plunge his knife right in the annoying Shinigami's spine.
"No one insults my work..." Kennon whispered menacingly.
Raygin blinked when he saw Kennon react just like he wanted. Kennon was angry and raging, just what a troll like Ray wanted to see. But when Kennon activated his fullbring Rays smile vanished and turned into a look of surprise. "Paint...bomb?" what a silly name. His knife turned into another knife and not into a bomb. So why was it named Paint Bomb? Besides, what was it that just happened? Kennons reiatsu flared up as the fight began and Ray noticed the reiatsu coming from his weapon. His knife had changed shape and was now a magical weapon.
Wait! Ray was piecing it together. Hollow like energy, a huamn who could kill Hollows, a shapeshifting weapon. Ray figured it out. This guy was a Fullbringer. Ray felt incredibly stupid that he had forgotten what he had been told about these guys. The Hollow like energy should have clued Raygin in, but it hadn't so now Ray was here fighting one. Brain! Why did you make me piss this guy off!? Because trolling is fun! Not when it causes things like this to happen!! Remember what happened to the Kuchiki, that didn't end well!! It was still fuuuuuuuuun Ray and his trolling brain argued as Kennon released his paint wave.
Raygin used his superior speed and the distance between them to dash to the left away from the paint. He managed to avoid it completely and looked at it. "Paint?" Ray asked himself. Suddenly Kennons energy was moving causing Ray to look in his direction. Kennon was fast and was going in for a close ranged attack. Maybe Kennon would have been able to sneak up on Ray if it hadn't been for the fact Ray could sense Kennons reiatsu. Kennon proceeded to perform a front flip right in front of Ray. Did this guy really think the Shinigami would just stand there in awe? No, Ray used his superior speed to side step Kennon before he began his lunge with the knife. Ray stopped moving away when he was about ten feet from Kennon. He aimed a finger at Kennon and said the spell "Hado #1 Sho!". Since Kennon would have to land and regain his balance he would easily be struck by this instant cast Kido. Even with a 100 difference in Reiatsu Strength the spell would still send Kennon flying backwards and into the wall of the warehouse.
Whether or not the attack hit, Raygin didn't stick around. This guy had a liquid like attack and being in a confined place like a warehouse would not be a good thing for Ray. He would have dashed from the warehouse but noticed that the paint that Kennon had thrown earlier was in the way. It may have been paint but Ray didn't trust it. Plus, Ray could detect reiatsu inside of it. How was he going to get out? The Shinigami smirked and jumped backwards towards the wall to his back. Instead of striking it he phased right through it like a ghost. Being made of reiatsu had its benefits, like being able to ghost through solid objects not made from reishi. Now that he was outside Ray went up utilizing air ground to get about four stories above the warehouse. Here he drew his Zanpakuto. He could still feel Kennon and waited for him to come.
“Hado number 1 Sho!” Kennon heard as he was beginning to land. Well fuck. Kennon grunted as he was thrown to the side, he did an almost spin as he skidded across the floor, well that had pissed him off quite a bit. Why is it he hadn’t simply slammed across on the wall like Ray expected? It was simply really. Sho was only for pushing objects, it was not to be used as a purely offensive/destructive kido. With Kennon’s superior reiatsu strength it was as if someone had punched him in mid air, it didn’t cause the blunt trauma and force Raygin had hoped for but it had surely given him the time he needed to escape. Considering he had expected to be blowing him up right about now. As Kennon shook his head to clear his head he could see the Shinigami... He was running! Well fuck no, that was not happening on Kennon’s watch. But then he saw the Shinigami running towards his paint. Come all just get closer... and closer... and... damn he stopped!
Then Ray did something Kennon thought he would see out of a movie or something. The shinigami actually ghosted through the wall? He literally moved right through the wall of the warehouse and ran outside. Well that was... surprising to say the least. Kennon growled in frustration. He had missed TWO chances to kill the Shinigami. He wanted to end this fight quickly for two reasons. Firstly he needed to get back to his training and secondly was because he had school the next day. He was NOT going to go into school looking beaten up and tired. How is he was able to simply ghost through the wall like it was nothing? Is it a Shinigami technique or is it because he’s technically a ghost. No matter he’ll be dead when I’m done. Kennon thought to himself.
Kennon simply sighed as he ran out the door. Where the hell had he gone? Had he simply turned and ran away? Without putting up a fight? No there was no way he would simply just do that. Kennon quickly looked around, then he saw what the Shinigami was doing. He was using airstep, he was literally floating on the air. Kennon’s eye twitched slightly, so he could utilize air step as well, so it seemed this was inevitably going to be an air battle it seemed.“You gonna hide up there all day or am I gonna have to go up there with you?” Kennon asked as he started moving up towards the sky. Kennon didn’t mind, after all it simply added to the intensity. Kennon gripped his knife tightly and utilized air ground to run up towards the Shinigami.
While Kennon was running up towards the Shinigami it was now time for battle analysis. Judging by the way he used a spell on me and ran away rather than trying to fight me head on it seems he’s more of a ranged fighter. That’s fine with me, I have a few tricks up my sleeve for all kinds of fighters. Kennon thought to himself as he was pretty much up there now. He did have plenty of things and strategies in his arsenal for fighting against all types of targets. How could he call himself a fighter if he wasn’t at least a little bit well rounded. Now it seemed that he was talented with kidou, Kennon didn’t know much about kidou but he knew it was magic used to either impede or kill your opponent. That probably meant he had high reiatsu strength as well so he would be best not to let the kido hit him.
Also it seemed that if he was a ranged fighter then Kennon could get in close in order to get some paint on him in close range. If he couldn’t do that then he’d stick with his usual long range tactics. Although he didn’t know it yet Raygin was faster and stronger than he was but Kennon simply had more skill, he had his explosions and his knife. Finally a plan devised in his head. If he could start detonating his paint quicker and try to get a little bit closer then he should be able to injure him greatly, that was a big if. “All I’ve got to do is be patient, I don’t know what his abilities are yet so I can’t make assumptions, if I can just keep my cool and find a strategy that works then I should, no I will be able to beat him! Kennon thought to himself as he started attacking.
When Kennon got closer he started shouting. He was pretty much sprinting ad fast as he could at this point“You’re not the only one who knows a few tricks around here!” Kennon said as he gripped his knife. He unleashed another quick wave of paint towards Raygin as he got closer, if he was smart he was obviously going to dodge. That wasn’t the only purpose. If Raygin went to either side he would be intercepted by Kennon with another wave of paint, if Raygin continued going backwards then the paint would simply hit him. Kennon was determined not to leave Raygin any form of escape this time, while it seemed like he was simply throwing paint around he was doing a very precise strategy that would result in his victory.

As Raygin waited for Kennon to finally exit the warehouse he ended up starting a conversation with his Zanpakuto. Ever since Raygin had unlocked the full power of his Zanpakuto, Zero popped out a lot more often and seemed to enjoy talking with Ray a bit more than he did. "So, Zero, what do you think of this guy? Think he can give us a good workout?"[/i] Ray asked through thought as he looked to his left. Floating beside him was a large white wolf. The wolf had a pair of hawk feathers tied around his left ear and marking running under his eye. Zero also gained a few new features since Ray last saw him such as a pair of wings growing out of his forelegs. The wolf had popped up since Ray was waiting.
The wolf shrugged, as much as a canine could do, and looked over at Ray. "Perhaps and perhaps not. You've gained power but don't get cocky pup. You don't know the full extent of this mans powers. Stay alert. He doesn't seem to be like the last human you fought though so be relieved about that." Zero responded. Ray nodded and remembered the last human he had fought. The man with the gas mask. The Shinigami shivered with a bit of fright when he remembered how Pavel had transformed like he did. But Kennon didn't seem to be like that. This made Ray realize that Fullbring powers could be as diverse as a Shinigamis. Ray yawned before he felt the energy source inside the warehouse move.
Zero vanished as if expecting what was going to happen leaving Ray alone in the air. He looked down to Kennon and couldn't help but feel a bit...divine. Raygin was a Shinigami, a God of Death, and here he was looking down on a human. Raygin finally drew his Zanpakuto and looked it over. His sword retained its usual look and customizations. Three red lines covering the faces of the blade. Hawk feathers tied around the base of the grip. Ray smiled as he looked down to see what Kennon was doing now.
The human had made his way out of the warehouse and was looking around for Ray. This made the Shinigami chuckle. He felt like he was playing hide and seek with Kennon. When the human looked up all Ray could do was shout "You found me!" When Kennon shouted up at Ray about him hiding the Shinigamis eyebrow raised. "Me hiding? It's called strategic positioning" Ray responded. Being up here meant Ray had the advantage of....well being up high. Having no walls, or floor, or ceiling meant whatever effect Kennons paint had would be useless. That paint though. Thinking about it just made Rays eyes narrow. That weapon wasn't just going to be using plain paint. It would make no sense. If it had just been regular paint then why had Raygin sensed reiatsu in the first wave of paint? The paint did something. It was more than it appeared to be.
It could paralyze me. Weaken me. Keep me from casting Kido. Poison me. Cause me to see illusions. There are any number of things a liquid based ability can perform. Either way, it seems he needs to get it on me...but I shouldn't risk even getting near it. It could explode![/i] Raygin snickered to himself Exploding paint? That's a good one.[/i] Rays snickering turned into chuckles. Thats when he saw Kennon suddenly running up at him. This caused Rays laughter to be cut short as he blinked in surprise. "You can use air ground?" Raygin asked Kennon in surprise as he got ready for Kennons attack. The human swung his knife twice and released even more paint.
More paint![/i] Raygin thought to himself as he ducked beneath the first wave and used a Shunpo to avoid the next one. Raygin reappeared a good twenty yards behind Kennon. Ray wasn't be cowardly he was being careful. Just like last time Raygin felt reiatsu in the paint causing him to grow nervous of it. The 3rd Seat wasn't stupid, despite his actions, and was not going to rush in wildly. His actions might piss the human off, but it didn't matter. The angrier that human got the more he would try to attack Ray. Kennon was fast, not to far under Rays own max speed, but Ray was still faster. He had the senses of a normal human but with his training in Energy Sensing Ray could work around the weaknesses of his eyesight and hearing.
He was trying to get that paint on me...[/i] Ray thought as he looked at Kennon. Another reason why Ray wanted to keep his distance was because he didn't know physically strong Kennon was. Raygin could easily tell how powerful his reiatsu was, which was something that made Ray even more worried, but so far Ray didn't have a technique to gauge a enemies strength. While Kennon may have had stronger reiatsu, Raygin had more than Kennon. The Shinigami needed a plan. There was too many what-ifs right now to actually attack. But perhaps attacking was the best way to figure out what he had to do. Rays eyes settled onto the knife Kennon had and came to the conclusion that the paint came from that. Fighting with a knife meant you had to get in extremely close. Using a Zanpakuto meant Raygin had the distance advantage with the two weapons but then Kennon had a ranged attack as well. Damn, the last time Ray fought someone with a knife it did not end well. Ray decided the best way to attack now was to use a tactic that was working. "What did the fat painter say to his wife? I wanna go to the paint shop I can get thinner." Ray told a terrible joke.
Raygin did a bad move, a very bad move that meant pain, maybe death. Luckily for him Shinigami had very resistive bodies, he was a very lucky guy to be a Shinigami. If he was a normal human his head would’ve exploded and went splat. Nonetheless he had survived the explosion to his head, only just. Why had Ray’s head been caught by the explosion? A simple face was because he ducked, if he had not ducked then he might’ve survived but he did duck, this meant Ray was in for a world of hurt, in fact Kennon was surprised that he even had the strength to continue.
As Ray ducked Kennon simply made the paint explode, pretty much blowing up his head. This would make Ray extremely dizzy, make his head hurt a lot, maybe hurt his concentration. When Kennon saw Ray he was pissed. Raygin had somehow managed to not have his head splatter like when you put an egg in a microwave. Kennon growled, no matter. When he saw Raygin fall because his airstep destabilized Kennon did the one thing he could do, he followed him. He used his fullbring powers to manipulate the air he was standing on, this allowed him to kick off so he’d fall downwards at decent speed. As Kennon was falling down at his uber high speed he would say the one liner he’s always wanted to say. “It looks like you couldn’t get A HEAD of the game!” Kennon shouted while laughing like a madman.
This should’ve been faster since Ray was only under the influence of gravity but Kennon had used force and gravity, therefore making him faster. Kennon used his immense masterly in acrobatics to flip and simply stop on the air ground. Kennon stopped when he was sure he was about under Raygin, he sprinted so he was somewhat under him and threw the paint at him. Why would this be practically unavoidable for our poor Shinigami? Firstly Ray is stunned, he’s shell shocked from the explosions. This means Raygin cannot concentrate on doing anything, his air ground should’ve destabilized, he should be shells hocked, he shouldn’t even be able to know where Kennon actually is or even see properly. Due to having absolutely NO points in ANY tiers of pain his head should be pounding, the worst headache he’s ever had.
So as Kennon was pretty much below him Kennon threw the paint up at him, Raygin would practically fall onto the pain, smearing his back or front with the paint, Raygin would NOT survive this explosion. Kennon would then run away from the point of explosion so he wasn’t caught in his own explosion. Kennon would simply make the paint explode while it’s smeared on his back, blowing a hole through him. Kennon would then leap back, staying away from Raygin’s corpse.
Why should this be impossible to dodge? Raygin is dazed, confused, shell shocked and has a huge headache. He cannot focus on anything or be aware of his surroundings. Also Raygin is falling at a high speed, the pressure from falling would make it impossible for Raygin to move anything, Raygin would basically be immobilized from all of these factors. He wouldn’t even know where Kennon actually is at this point.
Kennon simply sighed, he took a packet of chewing gum and put it in his mouth. He’d start chewing on it, it was a habbit of hit, he always needed to be chewing on something, it was relaxing and it would take his mind off things. He did have school the next day after all. “He was... A boring opponent...” Kennon said to himself as he looked at Ray’s corpse (If he was dead).

Well crap. Turns out that the paint did in fact explode. Ray would have cursed his bad luck but unfortunately the resulting explosion over his head caused him to become quite stunned. Ray was not able to cope with the pain so he fell straight down. The ringing in his ears, his throbbing head, and the confusion of the situation all combined into a daze that cursed Ray. The Shinigami fell straight towards Kennons incoming wave of paint. The Shinigami managed to get out "Your art still...blows." before he succumbed to unconsciousness.
The explosions as well as the fall would hurt Ray quite a bit but in no way where they fatal. He would be out of commission for awhile and most likely receive a scolding from his Kawada higher ups when he recovered, but he would live and learn from this. Next time though, Ray would be ready and he would know. Kennon revealed his attack to the Shinigami while Ray did not reveal his.
