What was with that wild spinning? Kyomei was fast, and Aramis frowned. "B-" He stated, before Kyomei impacted his arm. But unexpectedly, Aramis's arm didn't break. Kyomei, in fact, would feel as though he was kicking metal. Unknown to him, beneath the sleeve of Aramis's uniform, was a long chain that bound his arm. In fact, the arm itself was more akin to a physical shadow than flesh and bone. This was well hidden, however, not only by the long sleeve and glove that Aramis wore, but by an iron shackle around his wrist, developed by squad 12, to mask his demonic arm. If Kyomei had been stronger this would have broken Aramis's arm regardless, but it required more than the strength of a normal human to break through metal.
Though hated by their bearer, these traits saved Aramis's arm from being broken by Kyomei's kick, though the blow sent Aramis well off balance, staggering away from Kyomei. By controlling the Shunpo into one limb, there is likely strain on the limb. He'll be slightly slower.[/color] Of course, the same was true of Aramis's arm. Though it wasn't broken, it WAS badly damaged and wouldn't be able to be used very easily for the rest of the match.
As Kyomei leapt away, Aramis found his footing and pushed off after Kyomei, taking a one handed swing with his sword, whipping it horizontally, intending to strike Kyomei across the bridge of the nose, striking at his eyes with the slash as well. The only part of him that Aramis could strike without incurring cutback. He didn't want to blind Kyomei permanently, but some brief pain, and shut eyes wouldn't be out of bounds for a sparring match. That would give Aramis the opening he needed for the final move, for better or worse.
"Do you believe that trees can think?" Aramis asked, a question clear out of nowhere, but sounding as if he expected it to be answered regardless. He was gripping both the sheath and sword at the same time, his fingers slipping around the guard, and gripping the guard, sheath and hilt all at once. He held it diagonally across his body as if in an uncertain grip. He was notably staying very close to Kyomei, as if in preparation of his next move.
