Too caught up in his actions to be surprised, the Quincy below were actually unaffected by his Soukahou. However, what did concern the boy at the moment were the wounds he had sustained during his attack. His right shoulder had been shot through, meaning that moving his sword arm would be difficult if not extremely painful. Moreover, his chest had been punctured twice, and blood was already soaking the cloth near the entry wounds. Worse, his left kneecap had been blown through with another arrow, making the lower part of that leg, for the most part, useless in terms of combat. The Vice-Captain had not been expecting the Quincy to shoot through a fellow officer, and had thus not been able to react sufficiently. The pure callousness of their resolve and actions were yet another reason why Kazuko despised them.
But still, he had taken more damage than he cared to think about; time was running out very quickly, and he still hadn’t reached Baal. If things continued in their current course, Kazuko would be riddled with arrows before he got to the General’s study. Then he was left with no choice but to go all out now and try to pull his body along for the final push. However, in his rage, Kazuko realized that his emotions were getting the better of him; not that he could shrug them off, but he still knew that he needed his mind to be sharp at least. For that reason, as he was gliding down through the air, he activated Gigei Mikon: Douzen Heisei. Immediately, a tendril of reiatsu wormed its way through the nerves of his brain, shutting off certain receptors. By doing this, he eliminated the fear in his body as well as dulled the anger, rage, and pain. Together with his tolerance in pain, he could still maintain combat, for however long he needed and have a relatively level head.
Already, three other reiatsu signatures had arrived, which made the total number of Quincy Kazuko had to contend with was four. He could also detect many others on fast approach, with his Battle Analysis; he gauged their arrival in about a minute. Which meant he had to get rid of the four he was facing in that time frame. If that were the case, then there would be no point holding back any longer. He needed to end things quickly before he bled out, too. For that reason, when the Quincy J appeared overhead, he did not panic or scream in vengeance. Gigei Mikon suppressed his emotions too well for that. Instead, he focused his improved instinct and clarity at the battle at hand. Quincy J and… a Quincy below him, telling from the spikes in reiatsu and the sound of the arrows firing, had released their bows and fired. Dodging would be difficult, of course, since he needed to conserve the strength in his good leg for future movement techniques.
Instead, he had a better idea. With his Battle Analysis and improved instinct, he quickly calculated the speed and distance of the incoming arrows using what he had already surmised about them. He incited, “Surasorutoiera,” and flicked his wrist out. He had mastered this Hado spell and therefore only needed a moment to charge and release it, which was just enough time. The arrows coming from above and below would immediately be thrown off course as they were harassed by an all encompassing wave of force; similar to that of Sho, this wave of force, impacted the arrows at their sides, and thus directed them away from the body of Kazuko. Moreover, while the spell redirected their flight paths, it also served to propel the Vice-Captain higher into the air, thus allowing him to dodge any subsequent arrows.
But he wasn’t done just yet. He needed to give the Quincy a little payback for his wounds. The arrows from Quincy K that had been diverted to the side and would still be continuing upward; Since Kazuko had gone upward at a stat speed of 700, he would keep up with the speed of the arrows. He angled his body as he flew upward, so that he faced Quincy J. With his right arm still outstretched from the Surasorutoiera, he gave a quick, but ominous word, “Sho.” His palm was flat, so the gust of force that was released would be broad; and again, it took only a moment to discharge the spell with his Mastery over it. The arrows, yet again, would be redirected, however, this time they would race toward Quincy J instead. At the same as firing the Sho, Kazuko fired another wave of gray fire from the Soukahou to disguise the arrows in the fire. Given that this was all done in the span of a few moments, Quincy J would need to move immediately if he hoped to avoid the redirected arrows from Quincy K. Moreover, the fire of the Soukahou would mask the presence of the arrows and make it more difficult to figure out this once harmless Hado had something deadly within it.
Kazuko was not in danger of being fired upon at the moment, since all the Quincy in the room had either already fired their volley, were waiting to fire, or had not drawn their bows at all. Which meant that even if they did fire in that time frame, Kazuko would still have time to react. Nonetheless, the Vice-Captain was not done yet. Using the remnants of his Advanced Air-Ground, he disappeared in a Shunpo on his good leg. He would reappear a few meters behind Quincy Y. His sword embedding itself in a portion of the uncovered ground in that very instant. The landing had jarred his body, somewhat, and caused a wave of pain to shoot across his body as more blood leaked out. He bit the bullet, however, with his Natural Calm and Pain Tolerance; he needed to finish things now. As soon as he appeared, Kazuko called out, “Crumble, Gagoiru!” With the release came a change in his zanpakuto.
His blade broadened out and became double-edged while the tip turned into a bladed arc. A chain with a spike at the end also materialized from his hilt, which wrapped around his right arm like some sort of armor. Quincy Y needed to die now. As soon as his zanpakuto was released, Quincy Y, as well as every Quincy in the room, would find that any attack they launched at Kazuko would cease. Quincy Y especially would realize how dire things were for him in this situation. Kazuko had activated Chikyu Hachisu upon releasing. Immediately, from twenty meters in every direction, the ice and ground would erupt with the flurry of earthen spikes. Each spike was about a meter long, and half a meter wide, which, needless to say, would impale anyone caught within its range. What made this especially potent, however, was the fact they each spike moved at a Stat Speed of 700, which meant that by the time any Quincy, including Quincy Y, fired off their arrows, they would be blocked or intercepted by the spikes. Kazuko was basically surrounded in wall of pointy death.
Moreover, each spike had Reiatsu Strength durability of 1275, which could not be pierced or penetrated by anyone in the room currently. So whether Quincy Y had enough time to fire all his arrows or not, it would make little difference. He had made the mistake of wasting too much reiatsu previously by keeping his Blut active and forming his arrows, so by now, he would run out of reiatsu. Kazuko had already noted with his Battle Analysis and Energy Sensory the gradual decrease in his reiatsu reserves and had predicted that his Blut would be nearly depleted by this point. Furthermore, if Quincy Y tried to use a step technique, which would be unlikely given that he would already burn all his reiatsu in that time frame by keeping Blut, Gate, and his Bow active, then it would still come too late. The spikes would intercept him as he tried to escape to either the air or the ground around him since the range and size of them were pretty comprehensive. And if he did, the Vice-Captain would simply incinerate him with another wave of Soukahou as he tried to escape. All and all, Quincy Y was in trouble if something was not done immediately, that was for sure. Meanwhile, he kept part of his attention on the other Quincy; he would not be thrown off guard like before again.
