"I eat... I devour... That is my purpose..." In an old sewer underneath a zoo stood a large gorilla. It was larger than any average gorilla and had an impressively large Tiki mask that was on his head. He had found his way into the pipes, however he was basically blind and had no way of finding out where each path led to. So for hours this gorilla wandered before finding a light. Even when it emerged into the sun, still things didn't get better. Everything was a blur, and the myriad of colors did not help it identify anything in particular. After wandering for even longer, crashing into walls and generally being a pain to itself and nothing more, it had a thought. "I eat... I devour... Must feed..." Searching for food was difficult in this state, but it tried.
All of the colors blurred moving around in random paths. When he tried to bellow to make them fear him and stop, they kept moving. Could they hear him? Was he not fearsome? After awhile of bellowing, the gorilla named Grodd grew tired. He sat down, and soon a tan blur stopped in front of him. It came very close and next to his head, then spoke very softly. In reality it was very loud, but Grodd was very deaf. "I've found you, beast. Do you remember me? I am the Zookeeper. Your strength is phenomenal, but the rest of you is lacking. Follow me to another place where you can grow." Grodd was confused. Who was this blur that called itself the Zookeeper? How could he remember it? He knew of nothing save for that he was sitting down.
When he tried to protest, he was forced through a black blur and found himself shortly surrounded by tan blurs. Nothing but tan blurs and grey blurs. And the ground was rougher than before. The Zookeeper left, leaving Grodd alone in the sand. The Hollow wandered for awhile, until he saw a different blur. It wasn't grey or tan, it was black. It was also something that was moving instead of remaining still. Grodd turned towards the black blur and bellowed. Just a feral howl that would alert it to his presence. Then, he spoke. "I eat, I devour. That is my purpose. Hunger no more, stomach, a meal awaits!" He wasn't fast, but he moved towards the blur ready to attack it and eat it if it was as squishy as it seemed to be.
"Why?" Zen wanders the wastes, contemplating the endless expanse of the world he has come to know as he picks through the sand. "Why is there never an end?" His head turns at the sound of an enemy and he opens his large maw and returns with his own roar. His large limbs lift him off the ground as he looks at the beast approaching and slwly begins his own approach.. slow. very slow. Zen was done. he dashed. Sprinted more accurately. he was taking a curved route. the beast was slow so he planned to overcome it with speed. Zen knew his physical limits and he had no plans to take the thing head on. He was still only as fast as a human at full stride but that was more than enough for this situation.
He stopped as he reached the back of his foe."I'm hungry. You will feed me." Zen stood up on his hind-legs and roared at the top of his lungs, an earth shattering sound. Unbeknownst to Zen his foe would only notice a dull sound in his ears and a sudden increase of size from a black blur. Zen was aware of his minimal strength. but at his size and weight he could simply drop on his foes to crush them. he reared up to full height and bellowed his deep laugh.
Zen fell. he didn't just fall he collapsed. he simply dropped limp and collapsed onto his enemy. Zen was by no means a light individual. he weighed approximately 12 tons. That sheer level of weight would reduce his foe to slime if they could not avoid it. His size and his opponents speed would make moving out of the way difficult. If we bring his true weight into the equation not even this foe would be capable of simply ignoring the force of the blow.
With a massive roar, the blur returned the howl. Grodd didn't hear very much, but it was enough. He saw that his challenge had been met. As he moved forwards, he realized that it was taking a long time to get to the blur. The blur was bobbing up and down, as if it was moving towards him too, but it only grew bigger and bigger. Whatever the blur was, it was big and it was moving. The two Hollows ran at each other, and quickly Grodd learned that he was far outclassed in size. Soon, Zen came up right next to the gorilla Hollow and started to laugh. It was barely more than a buzzing sound in the ears of Grodd, but with the big black blur towering over him and blotting out the grey blur sky he knew something was up.
Zen began to go limp and try to crush Grodd. Doing so he leaned over the smaller hollow and blotted out the sky. "I eat, I devour. You are large and I am hungry!" Before the forty feet of Zen had time to get to the ground to crush Grodd, the latter hollow was reacting. He couldn't react fully in time, but as both of them had almost identical mental processing speeds and the fact that Zen paused to roar and laugh, Grodd would be able to react a little. From the top of his head grew his hair, being pushed out slowly but fast enough. This hair was sharp, being fashioned like a spike. When Zen landed on top of Grodd, the gorilla would be forced downwards into the ground a few feet by the pressure. He would have gone all the way in the sand and be buried, however he had a spike growing out of his head. He started to pierce Zen a bit and ended up more inside the giant towering behemoth than in the ground. Once inside, he started to bite at the innards of the other Hollow.
Zen roared violently, hefting himself off the ground and off of the beast he had attacked. Tenacious bastard isn't he? Zen roared again and moved backwards away from the beast. He crouched down on all fours and felt his power changing. a few moments ago he had no access to his reiatsu. as of this moment he focused fully on grodd so that even someone with no energy sensing such as him could feel Zen. his power tripled that of grodd's in measure. He reared up wasting no more time. his power was accessible once more, not only that but he had access to a very particular technique that gave him an advantage in most situations.
Zen vanished, he did not fade away or blur as if in movement he simply could no longer be detected. He had been erased from the senses. Grodd with his minimal sensory would be incapable of even hearing Zen as of this moment. Zen slowly approached taking a long winding route around the enemy. He kept himself silent. He was more powerful than Grodd, or so he believed. He intended to prove it with this next move. He reared up behind Grodd without casting a shadow. silent in his approach, as he slowly moved downwards. Zen knew the limits of his strength but he had his methods. He took his large mouth and without a single sound or breath dropped it down upon grodd's arm. if grodd didn't notice anything than gravity would do The work for Zen. Grodd would be short of an arm and inevitably much weaker from the wound.
even as the movement finished zen broke his stealth with his personal stepping technique. He was far ahead of Grodd now and waiting carefully for his enemy. he had no idea the ability of his foe. however he would soon demolish him. Zen simply had to exhaust Grodd's reserves of reiatsu, an area Zen assumed he was advantaged in. Perhaps he had been too hasty meeting the challenge of this brute. Too bad he was only thinking with his stomach still. he licked his lips and awaited the approach of Grodd. perhaps it would have been better to lure him to a more temperamental location. somewhere with much greater temperatures. keep him occupied with those and finish him off when it's done.
Too late now Zen. He very loudly roars to Grodd hoping to catch the beasts attention. "you are a pathetic useless piece of trash. I hope you at least taste good going inside my gullet." Zen laughed heartily at his commentary and suddenly stopped serious once more. "What is your name beast?" Zen asked in a very loud and curious manner so as to be heard by grodd. Even this imbecile had to know his own name.
While he was chomping at Zen, Grodd started to feel the beast move. "Graaaah. I eat, I devour. My prey will not escape me!" Using one of his own techniques, Push I, Grodd forced hair out of his feet to keep up with the giant hollow. The gorilla was forced out of the ground at 45 stat speed as he limited himself, moving almost as fast as Zen was. Grodd was also more direct, so his movements would keep up with the heaped Hollow effectively. Zen had just flopped on the ground and needed to get is arms into position in order to pick himself up. As Grodd remained inside Zen, his hairs stretched out to grab onto the standing up hollow. With his extreme strength he gripped tightly and was easily able to be carried up with Zen. Once up in the air, Grodd used his hair to both pull on the lower half of his opponent and push on the upper half. If he was unable to do anything about the Hollow buried inside his stomach, he'd fall over again and land hard on his back.
Just as Grodd reacted to Zen's movement Zen would react to Grodd's. the moment Zen felt Grodd moving he focuse his power. he roared loudly his energy focusing for a moment. his power now tripled grodds own in measure and just as grodd finished entering Zen his assault would be ended. Zen blurred. grodd would barely feel the movements as zen suddenly rushed past grodd at over 30 times grodds speed. when he finally escaped their was a large horizontal cut across his torso. Grodd would be stumped by this due to his low reactions. Zen was just barely above him but still above him. He used his new found reiatsu power once more and was gone. not moved but simply invisible. his technique camuflar hiding him completely from grodd's pathetic senses.
Zen would not attempt that move again. grodd was simply too dangerous to rely on pure weight alone to deal with. however zen had one plan. grodd was slow but obviously strong. Zen would have to be careful. take advantage of Grodd's low speed. keep a distance to try and exhaust his power. So Zen focused his power on grodd to catch his attention before moving out of the way. he continued this spot ten times around grodd. Zen never ceased moving so as to keep grodd from catching onto-him. he was as of yet unaware of Grodds sensory issues. but unbeknownst to Zen grod would be unable to detect Zen at all through his camouflage.
Zen was too slow, he worked to focus his power before getting out of the way and found a gorilla inside his stomach. The first thing that Grodd needed to do while Zen was upright and taking a few seconds to focus his reiatsu was to orient himself appropriately. The black blur moved, and the gorilla found himself lying down trying to eat at something that was just outside his range. As Zen was thrown to the ground, Grodd was once again standing upright. Having been thrown down to the ground with such a considerable force, the massive hollow would probably be stunned for a moment. Even if he wasn't, what happened next would be painful. Grodd lifted his feet up and once again used his Push I technique. The point of it wasn't to push himself, though.
Instead of pushing his body, he was pushing a large wave of air and flesh through Zen's body. The initial push of hair snapped out at 525 stat speed and the shock wave that carried a blast of flesh and air was headed through the majority of Zen's body and would tear his head off if he had no way of stopping it. "I eat... I devour... A feast awaits me!" If Zen had been neutralized by the massive shockwave that tore through most of his body and his head, then Grodd would begin to feast ravenously. He had no way of satisfying the hunger that grew in strength every moment. "Eat... Devour... Grow..."
That shockwave would have torn Zen apart and destroyed him. Had he not been psychotic and violent enough to perform his newest maneuver. He was inside of him so Zen could only see one course of action. He simply made good use of his 14 rows of sharp teeth. Even at his minimal strength the power of his jaw was more than enough to peirce flesh. Just as grodd achieved standing once more his balance would be disrupted again. The entire section of Zens flesh he stood on was now gone and both grodd and the flesh were on the ground, Zen screaming at the top of his lungs until he was far away from the beast. He would bide his time. This creature was tenacious. a horrific beast. Zen could feel the excitement building. The pain was agonizing but he couldn't possibly be happier in this moment.
just as the beast had attempted its own powers to destroy zen from within Zen would use his to destroy it from without. just as he had attempted many times before. he returned to invisibility once more the power he possessed was not power for direct combat. It was more of a supplementary ability as it was. however this ability would give him the advantage. Grodd had attempted direct approaches each time. Zen was going to do something much different at first. this was unusual for Zen but drastic times call for drastic measures. Zen was undetectable. He had not escaped unscathed from Grodd's last attempt though. he may have unintentionally prevented his own death but it had cost him his own flesh.
Zen had come to the realization he could not possibly harm Grodd through his own power. However, Zen had a plan. There were parts of the wastes known as Hueco Mundo that were not quite as empty as the one they fought in now. Zen was invisible. that piece of flesh was massive in comparison to Grodd, thus ensuring Zen atleast a few moments, where Grodd should be occupied with it. Zen was invisible in this moment. He had an idea. If he waited long enough he could kill Grodd. But time was not on his side. Even with his ability to resist damage this wound would not let zen fight for long. Zen had no intention of letting this drag any longer.
The feast was delicious. He felt his body shift a little, but with his less than awesome senses he wasn't aware that he had been removed from the majority of the creature he was eating. He was on the ground, chomping at the large wad of flesh that he had been given. "I eat... I devour... Where is the growth?" Still Grodd felt empty. As if the meal wasn't yet complete. Maybe it was the hunger that always gnawed at him, maybe it was just that the wad of flesh that he had consumed just wasn't the entirety of the massive blur. "Eat... Devour... More..."
Looking around, the blur couldn't be seen. It probably ran off. "Graaaaaaahh!" With a scream, Grodd pushed outwards with all of his hair. A shock wave ripped through the ground, sending up sand everywhere. If Zen wasn't careful he'd be torn apart by the shockwave, and even if he was careful he would most likely be coated in sand, revealing his location. "I eat. I devour. I'm coming for the feast!" Though he was not capable of moving very fast, he was still going to hunt down Zen who now was a tan blur against the backdrop of the sky. He was hungry, and he was going to feast upon this monstrosity of a meal for a long time.
